Hello. I’m very VERY confused as to how, not once but TWICE. I have ordered from here, and gotten Texas toast. And upon delivery discovered that I had gotten UNBAKED bread, in a disheveled plastic bag? Unclipped, obviously touched before. It’s gross looking, and why would I order just raw bread???? TEN DOLLARS FOR A HALF LOAF OF BREAD???? HOW?
One was shoved in a paper bag and the rest were in a nasty opened plastic bag?? That makes zero sense.

The first time I called and asked about this. They told me there was nothing they could do, and they couldn’t tell me how it happened. So how could it happen twice??? SECOND time I called no one picked up. Then the phone was picked up and set back down to hang up on me. I’m genuinely so confused as to what the thought process was here. And what drugs are they taking behind the counter.

We’ve also come in person. And had a very rude women with purple hair, mid to late 40s, slammed the window open and say “what do you want” when we were quite kind to her. As a ex fast food worker myself, I’d never do any of this.
Y’all need to shape up cuz this is CRAZY.

The hospitality of this place is unreal, some of the most kind and genuine staff i’ve ever seen. The chef is such a character, a sweetheart of a human. They go above and beyond to make connections, and give back to this community. My kiddos thoroughly enjoy stopping here for a meal, even lunch. The food is great, some of the best bbq you can find. Much love to the Dickeys crew!!! 4th time back, always the same experience. and so CLEAN!!!

I want to give all 5 stars, but the ordering process leaves a lot to be desired. However! The husband and wife that were running it did us right, real good and kind people! Jason and his wife made our day.
And the free soft serve ice cream for eating in sold me! Don’t ever get rid of that! I’m bringing the whole family next time and that’s how I’m getting the kids hyped up to go!

Oh and on a side note, coming from Spokane, this trip made me want to move to Idaho so much more than I could have ever expected.

CDA desperately needs a real BBQ spot, because this place just isn’t it. I’ve given it three honest tries, and every time I walk out wondering why I keep doing this to myself. I ordered brisket in slices and somehow ended up with a pile of random bits that could’ve just as easily been pulled pork. There was absolutely no way to tell the difference.

I’m more than willing to pay good money for good BBQ, but at these prices, you’d expect something that at least resembles what you ordered. Instead, I’m left staring at my plate, disappointed, while my wife gets to enjoy yet another “I told you so” victory lap.

At this point, is it too much to ask for a Longhorn BBQ to finally make its way to North Idaho? Because CDA deserves better, and honestly, so do paying customers.

Jason went above and beyond with the service and drove it home with amazing food! Great atmosphere for a “chain” right off the main road. Very clean and comfortable. The classic brisket sandwhich with the Carolina sauce will live rent free in my mind until next time.

I liked the seasoned fries and bbq sauce gave the brisket sandwich much needed flavor but the amount of meat in the brisket sandwich was small, maybe just a 1/4 lb and for a $10.99 sandwich, that’s way too little. I liked the flavor but i didn’t like the portion. $16.50 for the whole meal, which is about $6.00 more than what McDonald’s charges for a meal with more value – all their meals have more value. Even Arby’s has three sizes for their roast beef sandwich, and even the biggest size is around $8 for a pound of their beef. I didn’t like the little red and white plaid curtains, perhaps they are a poor choice because of their cheap material. They don’t last in the sun and look faded from the outside.

The sides were FROZEN! when I picked it up through the drive through the girl said that they were waiting on the food to warm up. I didn’t think she actually meant that she needed to warm it up from FROZEN.
The brisket was not sliced properly. It was a pile of meat and fat. This is the 4th time we tried them. We are from Texas and expect better from the ONLY BBQ in town.
ALMOST $100 for a meal. NEVER AGAIN- and corporate headquarters is being contacted. This is VERY disappointing!!!

I was really excited to try this place, but I guess I was too excited…

My husband had told me that this place was amazing and couldn’t wait for me to try it. When we finally got there, I saw 3 employees who were so ready to go home for the day but still had a few hours to go. We took our order to go.

What we got was nothing like my husbands descriptions. I basically just ate the bread because the meat was just bad quality, crumbs from the day.

I wanna come back and give them a 2nd chance because my husband really likes this place, and maybe I just had bad luck.

I do not agree that they should be open if all they can provide 3 hours before closing is dried meat crumbs.
At least give a discount, instead of charging us for something that wasn’t their normal quality.

The girls were nice and suggested the ribs that just came out… wow that whole meal sucked. Brisket was dryer than a shoe lace, the ribs we leather tough and then there’s the price. When the total came out to $55 for 2 plates I was blown away because I knew it was going to be bad, but not this bad. Look at the photos
