I’ve been coming to Dickie’s Barbecue with my older brother for as long as I can remember—and it’s always been one of our favorite places. The food here is seriously next level. The meats are always juicy and packed with flavor, and the different sauces they have make it even better. We’ve made it a tradition to come here, and it never gets old.
One of the best parts? The ice cream machine. It’s been a go-to treat for us after every meal, and it just makes the whole experience even better.
Also, I’ve got to give a big shoutout to Ruby. He’s always here, working hard, greeting everyone with a smile, and making the place feel welcoming. He’s a great guy and deserves a lot of credit.

Well, my expectations were open when we needed to use a gift card here since I hadn’t been. They soon plummeted when I watched the chicken fried steak go from the freezer to the deep fryer. That wasn’t too bad until cut into, not a steak but a formed-from-parts patty.
And why are the loaded mashed potatoes oxidizing before our eyes? Gross.
The sides weren’t any better. The beans can’t even compete with a can of Van de Camps pork and beans hahaha.
The best part of the meal was the coleslaw but unfortunately that in itself doesn’t make a meal.

The owner and manager are very nice and helpful. The owner even remembered us after only one or two visits. The food is amazing; my favorite is the okra. Our kids especially like the complimentary ice cream.

I placed a pick up order from this location for a social event prior to picking it up. When it came time to pick it up, I had arrived at this location and asked about the order. The person working this night said there was no order for this and that it would take 2 hours to cook this food and the store was going to close. I had showed him my receipt and pick up time. Then was told the same nonsense that there was no order. There was obviously an order but the crew had already started cleaning to leave for the night and had no desire to actually do their job clearly. Now when I call to ask for a manager they say he is not in. Complete nonsense for a $150+ order. I will add they then closed the store 15 minutes early and had 2 other customers pull up to get their pick up orders that were unable to get that as well. Ripping customers off for their money is illegal.

Food is great most of the time but this is ridiculous. Portions are getting to small. They are becoming Chipotle. I get one spoon full of chili and one spoon full of mashed potatoes. I think I’m done ordering from here…..

2stars because I come for the food and not the service. The brisket today and 2 others is DRYYY, the creamed spinach is sour and the Mac and cheese is bland? Bun has to have been sitting out for a while and the sweet tea… lol ok if you say so. This is the only location I’ve had this issue with I’m from Texas and this is the closest I can get here in Denver.?
