We tried it the evening of Friday 1/9/26 and were not impressed. Placed online order to be ready at 7pm, order was ready on time. Got in the car with drinks (Coke Zero) and take a drink, it is flat. Go inside Dickies and let cashier know Coke Zero is flat and ask for Diet Coke and am told they don’t have it even though I saw it offered online when I ordered. Got 1 sweet and 1 unsweetened instead of Coke products, sweet tea was not very sweet at all. Ordered the loaded baked potato casserole and received potato salad instead. Mac n Cheese looked like it had been sitting in the individual container all day. Ordered honey bbq and only received spicy. Hubby enjoyed his fatty pieces of brisket. Jalapeño sasuage had good heat but was dry.

Yes, I understand Dickie’s is not some “fancy” bbq place however when me and hubby “splurge” on dinner out for us. Yes, a $50 meal for 2 is splurging when you have spent the past 22 years raising 4 kids on a single income by choice so most of your date night meals now that the kids are old enough to be trusted not to burn the house down and can make their own dinners, are Sam’s Cafe pizza and hot dogs, McDonald’s $5 meals, or sharing a Cane’s box. So, yes it was a bit of a disappointment since we like Dickies and were looking forward to having one so close to home.

I ordered the westerner combo, chili cheese dog combo and a kids boneless wings. What I got was completely wrong. What was supposed to be a chili cheese dog turned out to be just the Jalapeño Cheddar Kielbasa cut up. No bread, no cheese, no chili. When I mentioned it, she just looked at the receipt. I had to ask for at least a piece of bread with it. She gave me a really small piece of bread, still no chili and no cheese offered. The kids boneless meal, she said they don’t carry boneless wings at all and the Mac n cheese was not edible at all. The westerner does look like it’s made correctly, but the mashed potato casserole is questionable.
I DON’T recommend this particular location at all. I will drive further to Coppell or Carrollton when ordering from Dickies again.

I ordered online the chopped Brisket sandwich combo with BBQ beans. My sandwich was cold and it had two slices of cheese on it…I eat dickeys a lot but never had them put cheese on my sandwich. I ordered bbq beans and got what looked like mashed up green beans not sure what it was didnt eat it and my drink was a small kids drink. I basically wasted money. I’ve never had bad Dickey’s but this was horrible. I’ll drive to coppell instead

We ordered through doordash today. One turkey Baker and a two meet plate. The turkey on the two meet plate was very slimy. We ordered fries as one of the sides and they were dark brown and tasted like old grease. The role that came with the meal was very tiny, cold and hard. I paid for extra sour cream and barbecue sauce and did not get it. We will not be ordering or dining in at this location again. I think the workers at this location could take a good hard lesson from the Coppell location. You can always count on high quality food in good service there.

My sister, daughter, and I came to this location to dine in around 11am on a Friday. The restaurant was completely empty and now I see why. There appeared to be only 1 girl working the whole store. I tried to order turkey, they hadn’t cooked it yet. Tried to order chicken, hadn’t cooked it yet. Lemonade? Out. We finally order and now have to wait on our drinks because some genius decided to put the drink machine in the back where only employees can access it. The young lady begins making our food first. She completes my sister’s order then maybe 5 minutes later gives me my order. A DoorDasher walks in so she stops working on our order to start the dasher’s order. At this point we’re all still waiting for everyone to get their food before we begin eating. Well finally my daughter’s food comes out and she begins bringing drinks. She brings me 2 mini child cups because they were out of large cups. Why let me buy a large cup knowing you’re out of large cups? The soda was flat. Who knows where it’s even coming from. I doubt it’s a drink machine judging off the temperature and lack of strong carbonation. My sister’s baked potato was old and burnt as if the food was recycled and reheated from the previous day. The buns for my daughter’s slider were borderline burnt and hard. All of the food was slightly cold. As far as atmosphere goes, the trash cans were literally Temu mini outdoor trash cans instead of the industrial size fit for a well known establishment. The silverware put out had like 4 of each utensil and looked questionable. The plasticware was the absolute cheapest of the cheap including only a flimsy fork and knife NOT Dickeys brand with the durable plasticware we all love. There was also a long telephone line hanging from the ceiling that looked hazardous. Needless to say this was a horrible experience. We ended up throwing most of the food away. The owner needs to stop being cheap and hire more employees for more efficient service as well as purchasing restaurant quality products (dinnerware, plasticware, trash cans) not cutting corners to save a few bucks. It makes the store look cheap.

I can’t rate the service or atmosphere because I had my food ordered from Uber Eats. What I can say is that I used to love Dickey’s, especially the potato casserole. What I got today was not on par with the way their food used to be. I ordered a pulled pork sandwich plate with potato casserole and green beans. I also asked for a piece of cheese on the sandwich. They literally threw a piece of Kraft American cheese (still in the wrapper) in the bag. The green beans were the best part of the whole meal, although not as tasty as I remember. The two big disappointments were the potato casserole and the drink. The casserole used to be dense and filled with bacon and shredded cheese. Today it was runny/soupy in texture with a few big pieces of hard bacon thrown in. It tasted like instant potatoes. I didn’t see any cheese at all. The big yellow cup of soda was basically flat, as well, so it was a waste. I was really disappointed. I haven’t eaten at Dickey’s in a long time, so I’m not sure if this is indicative of the way they prepare their food regularly or if this was just a bad day for them. It makes me feel like I don’t want to go back, though. I’d be better off going to the Spring Creek BBQ down the street.

We’re new to this area and recently moved from the West Coast. We had never tried Dickey’s before because there wasn’t one near our previous location, so we decided to try something new and went to Dickey’s for dine-in.

We were greeted politely by two staff members and ordered two meal plates, a half rack of ribs, 1 lb of brisket, and ½ lb of pulled pork. Our order was ready in about 10 minutes. While we were eating, they even asked if we needed any extra sides as a complimentary addition, which was a pleasant surprise.

Based on some of the earlier reviews, we weren’t expecting much, especially since the place seems newly opened and doesn’t have many reviews yet. But since it’s close by, we decided to give it a try and we’re glad we did.

We really liked the smoked meats, and most of the sides were good as well. The only exception was the cucumber salad, which was okay but not great. Overall, it was a good experience, and we’d definitely consider coming back

Tried Lewisville Dickey’s Barbecue and honestly loved it. The food was really good—the brisket was super tender, the pulled pork was juicy, and everything tasted fresh and flavorful. The sides were great too, especially the mac and cheese. Portions were generous and the staff was friendly and helpful, which made the experience even better. If you’re craving solid barbecue without the fuss, Dickey’s is definitely a good choice. Would 100% go back.

I stopped by Dickey’s Barbecue – East Grove location in Lewisville, Texas today and had a great experience. The restaurant was very clean, and the ladies working there were extremely pleasant and welcoming. I ordered the world-famous pulled pork sandwich, and it was delicious. They even surprised me with a complimentary side of green beans, which were amazing as well. Great food, great service, and a great atmosphere. I definitely look forward to coming back very soon!

We love Dickies and was glad to see it next to us. Went in late afternoon. Nobody in the restaurant. Ordered loaded mashed potatoes and got plain mashed potatoes. The meat was good. The sauce seemed watery. The only waitress was nice. The store was clean.
