Looking for a bbq sandwich near me in a city I’m not familiar with. Dickeys came up at the top of the list. A bit disappointed upon arrival to a gas station, but after tasting the pulled pork, bbq beans & banana pudding, I knew I’d be back for the food, not the ambiance. Absolutely heaven! They had cole slaw, broccoli salad, mashed potatoes & fries as well as brisket & pork. I found the prices to be very reasonable also! Yum!

5 stars for taste of meat. 2 stars for “ambiance”; looks dark/dingy. 1 star for plastic utensils. 1 star for “roll”….tiny, cold, tasteless. 2 stars for size of sides…..great taste but chintzy. Very poor upkeep…..light bulbs out, exterior sign looks burned, hand-written signs in window advertising other food. Terrible color/decor; looks tired/old. Franchising has ruined this once-great brand.

Stopped to order take out went to pay and my order was ready when i got back to pick up. He was cutting up the meat so I know it was fresh, potatoe was huge, the right amount of sour cream chives and the brisket was soooo good. Food wasn’t stopped together, was perfect. Host was friendly with a smile on her face. Excellent service. Food tasted great !!! Thank you…Thumbs up

This location would not honor their coupons. The employee told me my coupon wasn’t valid because there was no expiration…its clearly printed as I pointed this out to the employee…he then said well, its only valid at the location printed on the coupon…I told him kindly that its not location specific but that it must be used for dine in orders. He countered with well we’re not going to take it.. you will have to go somewhere else. Bummed me out but Ill just take my business elsewhere.

The food here is very consistent! My family and I typically order the turkey breast or the sliced brisket. Besides are good if you’re going and looking for something good that’s quick and fairly reasonable for barbecue I would recommend dickies.

I ordered a meal and the man at the counter sent me to the front of the convenience store to pay while he prepared my food. I paid with a credit card but when I returned to the Dickey’s counter to pick up my food, the man at the counter demanded that I give him my receipt. I handed it to him and he mumbled something and then told me to wait right there. I had no idea what was going on but stood there for about five more minutes. I finally went up to the front of the convenience store and heard the man from Dickey’s saying something about two dollars. The cashier then told me that the man from the Dickey’s counter instructed him to charge me an additional $4. The cashier was very apologetic as he charged my card for the additional $4 and said he made a mistake. But the man from Dickey’s just walked off. It was about 30 minutes before closing time and I was both annoyed, baffled and in a hurry. I love Dickey’s and have used their catering service many times for large business lunches. I’ll go back to the other Dickey’s locations. But will never go back to the location in The Colony nor will I ever use that store for catering. The man at the Dickey’s counter was incredibly rude and thought nothing of causing a scene and holding up a customer over $4. My food was also cold when I got home due to the delay.
