I’ll start with the good things first, the staff was extremely professional and attentive to the customers that were present. They ran out of baked beans and came to each table to ask customers who had ordered what they would like to substitute for the item. This place does not have what I consider traditional table service, so I consider that effort a big deal. I found the restaurant to be very clean and well organized, the drink station was immaculate, which is rare. Unfortunately the bad all has to do with the food. The pulled pork was tender and had a great flavor but was way to salty, the lean brisket was really tuff and didn’t have a lot of taste. The ribs were the only exception when it came to the meats, chewy, well seasoned, and delicious. The potato salad and loaded mashed potatoes were both good for restaurant sides but not great. Definitely worth a try, could have been an off night when I visited.

I was just picking up and I can tell this place is a vibe, very personable . I got a sugar cookie and the Big Yellow Cup which is so worth it and they’re strawberry lemonade is really good it’s not too sweet and not too tart. They have some really good deals,just go in and see for yourself…they also feed the little kids free on Sundays . I love a good barbecue place so I will definitely be back…#TheTravelingFoodie

Tonight my food was prepared by Kevin and let’s just say he made my experience such a great evening. The wings were my appetizer and was seasoned to perfection and I can’t rave enough about how tender the ribs were. The restaurant was extremely clean and offered such a home atmosphere. Kevin, we will definitely be back and we’re looking forward to another wonderful dinner. Keep up the good work and such a humble spirit!!!!

It was pretty quiet when I came in however the workers were awesome! They let me take my time with the menu , they let me ask questions and even taught me a thing or two. I really enjoyed my time here at Dickeys . I will be returning . Now time to go show down on my foooddddd lol!

Staff was attentive and friendly. Restaurant was clean including the drink and condiment station, which is a rarity at self-serve stations in restaurants. Food was great- I barely used my knife on the meats. Okra was fresh and not greasy. My only two complaints: 1. This could’ve just been tonight’s batch, but the Texas Toast was a bit overboard with the garlic powder. 2. Portion sizes. This one’s probably cuz I’m a big back that’s keto and I came here for the meats. I wanted a little more. Although, if it wasn’t good, I wouldn’t be wanting more. Meat prices are high so it’s not unfairly priced. So that second one may not be such a considerable complaint.

We had Dickey’s catered at my job and oh my goodness! It was SO delicious! Probably my favorite BBQ I’ve had in Baton Rouge. I tried both the original BBQ sauce and the spicy, and they were both amazing. Highly recommend!
