The big three – Food, Service, and Atmosphere
Food – I got a two meat platter with brisket and burnt ends for the meat; loaded mashed potatoes and baked beans for the sides. The brisket was soft and the burnt ends melted in your mouth. No extra BBQ sauce needed as it was warm, juicy, and delicious. The baked beans were exactly how you’d like them. Not thick, not watery, just right. The loaded mashed potatoes were pretty good too with a noticeable blend of different ingredients that naturally tasted excellent.
Service – The two individuals working were honest and quick to work. They had everything ready and done within 5-10 minutes. No questions asked and were knowledgeable about how to get me what I wanted. Just make sure to ask for to go boxes to take home the extra as they keep them neatly stacked on their side of the counter.
Atmosphere – Music was pleasant with an excellent clean dining space. Looks like they take pride in keeping this place clean. Trash is easy, it’s on the way out. Dump out and go when all is said and done. The men’s bathroom could use extra love but there’s no trash all over the ground and the floor isn’t covered in fluids everywhere.
Overall satisfied with my visit today and would recommend this establishment for any weary souls looking for a good filling meal with extra to take home.

I hate to give a negative rating, because I grew up in Texas, and Dickies had great bbq back in the day. We got a rack of ribs, and they had no flavor. BBQ sauce flavor with meat texture. Sorry, but I’m just wanting to send honest feedback to the owner. Serving old ribs to save money costs more as the client doesn’t come back for some time if at all. I wish the best.

I needed somewhere inexpensive, but close to where I was at work as my car wasn’t working. Luckily, this was within a short distance.
I witnessed the kindest employees, specifically one man assisting an older gentleman to his table and getting his sauces etc! He went above and beyond! When I walked up to the counter they knew instantly it was for me without me giving a name. And when I got back to work and realized an item was missing, (it was NOT listed on the receipt but I did show on the website the anniversary meal comes with beans! I thought I was crazy, myself!)
They remembered me no problem and said the same thing; they were surprised that it appeared as just a drink and sandwich no side! But they swiftly and easily rectified this! I am blown away by the customer service

Dickeys Bbq does good job of affordable comfort bbq food. Every thing is good, brisket, sausage, fries are a fav, with assortment of sauces. Order at counter is very transactional, not quite fast food but you don’t see the prep at counter, maybe help to visually see the meat prep for more inviting feel when you enter (as you eat with your eyes first!!). After prep you take your food on a tray to your table. Worker asked for tip at register was awkward for the wife, I didn’t care. Decor is bbq rustic but dated. Has a feel that it had its heyday 10 years ago. Needs some personality but it could be last bbq standing in Nixa.

Great tasting BBQ our 1st time here, and Barney was very friendly and helpful. I got the 2 meat and my Mom got the lunch special. Burnt ends were fantastic.
