Updated July 2025: this was only my second time coming here. The food is still good. But I decided to sign up for the rewards program. And I thought it was a shame how the employee that was taking orders didn’t even know what specials the had to offer. Both the workers on duty that day made it clear that they didn’t want to be there.

I’ve been going here for awhile now (since they 1st opened) but I will not be going back. I went in tonight at around 7:40 pm to grab me lunch to work 3rd shift. First off, one of the workers was sitting on the table where they make the food as him and the other guy talked while I waited. Then I guess they got frustrated with me standing there and finally asked how could they help me as if I were disturbing them. I ordered a 1/4 lb of brisket ($7 and some change) and a small side ($3 and some change) for which they charged me almost $16 (no receipt). I didn’t make an issue out of it because I wanted the brisket but what I got was container of what looked like fat that was left over from the day and about 5% meat. If they didn’t want my business they could have just told me that and I would have went somewhere else. I work in the area and I will make certain that the people I work with know how they treat customers who come in around this time

Excellent BBQ. Unexpected because the restaurant.. really made to go, was inside a truck stop in Joliet, Illinois. The food was flavorful, served quickly and the help was friendly. Their store was clean and I felt like I having dinner in a premium BBQ restaurant, but the pricing was on point.
I ordered the pulled pork, shredded brisket sandwich with coleslaw. It was a really good value for the money, with good sized portions. I will most definitely be returning with my appetite

Food is amazing…when you actually get what you want. Is there specific times I should be ordering the food for delivery? Feels like everytime i order I never get what I want. I want two beef brisket sandwiches and get two sets of half ribs? I dont recommend delivery.

Walked up n at 7:45pm on Friday the 16th 2024 It looked deserted.. no.one at counter or anywhere to be seen. Had to knock on door to kitchen. A young gentleman came n out n said they were closed at 8:00pm??? I looked at my phone n said it’s 7:50… 10 minutes still.. then a guy customer said on Fridays they close at 9:00pm. I looked on menu n it says 9pm n they had everything closed up by 8:15pm. However I did get to order. I was very persuasive. You have to be this way. These young whippersnappers do not know anything about duties of a job.. lack of respect n honor.. plus the menu said $13.99 for brisket plate n I was charged $15.99.. if the prices have changed then need to update menu.

Took advantage of some daily specials including 2 for $24 & the Tuesday 3-Rib dinner for carryout order. Also ordered 9 Spicy Buffalo wings. All BBQ dinners tasted delicious. Barbecue sauces were missed on order. Price was fair. 4.5 Stars.
