As a southern its been hard to find good bbq and I’ve been scared to try them incase they weren’t good. But let me tell you me and my husband absolutely loved it. I was mostly excited because they had fried okra and nothing disappointed. They cook their okra to order and it was amazing and the staff are so nice had a conversation with me the whole time my food was being prepared. Definitely recommend and will be going again!!

Came in on Valentine’s Day and the gentleman working was by himself… and he was WORKING. He was kind, attentive, and clearly doing everything he could to keep things running smoothly. I know he had to be exhausted, but he never showed it. I really appreciated his effort and positive attitude.

By far the worst bbq and experience I’ve had at a dickeys. My husband and I stopped for lunch. We ordered two loaded potatoes, told the guy which toppings we would like. We asked if they had warm sauce because the sauce was cold and he said he forgot to plug everything in so that was the only option. We got halfway home and noticed our potatoes had no toppings. Hardly any meat and it was extremely dry. For a $40 lunch Would not recommend this location at all!

I had a great experience at Dickey’s bbq the other day. I go there quite often for lunch. And the other day the owner came up to me and was very nice. Had good service and a great guy. I would highly recommend anyone to stop by and get a wonderful lunch

The brisket was fairly dry. However the kielbasa we had was good! The customer service was great! Was looking forward to a more moist brisket.

I have only recently started eating at this chain. I really love their huge stuffed potatoes. The staff were very nice even with them being slammed with a gigantic to-go order. All the food was delicious and I will be coming back.

Panicked and disorganized. Barely acknowledged me because of 2 online orders. I ended up leaving without ordering
Edit-8/5/25 – thank you for replying. I was literally the only restaurant patron when I was there that is why I was surprised. After standing for about a minute or two my greeting was, “I have 2 online orders so you will have to wait” one employee just stood there the whole time. That is why I just left. A simple welcome and we will be with you in a few minutes would have even been nice. But i worry about quality when kitchen staff look panicked so I left. I will try again. Thank you

This Dickey’s started out decent, but every visit since has been a letdown. The food usually comes out lukewarm, the meat dry, and the orders are often missing items, completely wrong, or just feel old. For the prices they charge, you would expect consistency, but instead it feels like an afterthought every time. On top of that, the employees often came across as more abrasive than welcoming, which only made the experience worse.
Finding good barbecue in this town is already hard. Out on the West End, the only real competition is Famous Dave’s, and they have been trash for years. That means Dickey’s has no excuse not to succeed. Unfortunately, the only thing Dickey’s is smoking these days is their reputation.
