Pros: friendly staff and clean location
Cons: the restaurant refused to honor the BOGO promo for the loaded bakers, despite me getting multiple email reminders that the promo was happening. Had I known this, I would have driven 10 more minutes to camp hill. I went forward with ordering as I was already there and I also ordered a 1/2 lb of chicken breast to go. I live 40 min from this location and when I got home I saw that the chicken breast was slathered in bbq sauce, which I don’t eat. I called the restaurant and they said they coat it in sauce when it comes out of the smoker to keep it from drying out, but I’ve eaten at multiple dickeys locations in the past and I’ve never had sauce on my chicken. The chicken on the baker was not coated in sauce, so I’m confused by their explanation. The location said I could come back to exchange it, or if I ever return I could let them know what happened, but I happened to be in the area today, which is a rarity, and I won’t return to this location.
The baker itself had no seasoning whatsoever and was extremely bland, as was the chicken on the baker. The only reason I gave 3 stars is because the staff was nice.

I needed to kill 30 minutes and get something to eat. I had Dickeys before so I thought I’d try it again. It was an underwhelming experience. One employee was very helpful but kept coughing while preparing my food, the other made little effort to even talk or make eye contact while I was ordering. The food was pricey for what you get and the overall atmosphere was just drab. My pulled pork was rather dry but could be salvaged with bbq sauce. Good pork doesn’t need salvaged. I personally wouldn’t return to this one but there were some regulars that seemed to like it that day.

Food was awesome, very fresh and piping hot! The guys taking/compiling orders were nice, greeted everyone, pleasant, attentive and helpful. The place was clean and well stocked. It was a little smoky inside, but that did clear up about 10 minutes after we ordered. The brisket was delicious! My husband got the ribs and said they were excellent. Can’t beat the price for a hearty meal. We’ll definitely be back soon!!

Typically great tasting food. Can’t recommend the chicken pork and brisket more highly. The potato salad and green beans are scrumptious. the roll is the cream on top

I went in around 6pm on Veteran’s Day and I was told their promo was no longer available past 5:00pm. Nowhere on the website nor the store signage does it state that their Veteran’s Day promo ended at a certain time. For a “Veteran owned and operated business, this is completely unacceptable. DO BETTER!

I’ve been itching to try out this BBQ joint for a while and today I finally got my wish. I ordered the 1 Meat Plate (pulled pork) with Fried Okra and Baked Potato Casserole as sides. My son got his Sunday kids meal for free which made me a very happy camper. I mean a Beef Brisket Hoagie with Waffle Iron Fries + Drink for free — that’s a great value. Imagine if I had 4 kids! I picked spicy BBQ sauce and he picked sweet BBQ sauce. I loved the spicy sauce — just the right heat and the right kick. This was also the first time ever that I tried fried okra. The texture that it added to the meat was, quoting another reviewer, “out of this world”, reminding me of trying out the New Orleans Gumbo for the first time.
Oh, here’s icing on the cake: everyone got to help himself with a free soft serve ice cream!!
One word of caution: I came in at off-peak hour (2:45 pm on a Saturday). I had just one person in front of me. But quickly as I went though with my order, the line suddenly piled up. The assembly line could break down if just one side dish (in this case, my son’s Waffle Iron Fries) is in shortage. I could easily imagine how the order line could go out of control during peak hours.
Anyways, I must say we had a fun meal. I felt this place served justice for my living in this geographic region! 5 stars hands down!

This restaurant is amazing! The staff all welcomed us when we walked in. Our food was fresh, hot, prepared properly, and delicious. I didn’t even need to request that anyone change their gloves they just did it (I’m very allergic to dairy). Every one was friendly, everything was stocked, the tables were all very clean, and the food was amazing. I have nothing bad to say about this restaurant. Highly highly recommend!

My wife and I got the 3 meat plate, the Jalapeno sausage was cold, the brisket was not warm, and by the time we got our sides and sat down, the brisket was cold. The Fries were hot but they did not cook them long enough, and I like my fries well done. Very disappointed in the meats not being hot, you need to find a way to keep them hot or warm them up before you serve them.
