Dark chocolate lovers unite! This chocolate store has so much dark chocolate it filled me up with joy. Great spot to go for a coffee or a small baked good or maybe take Home a box of truffles. Super fun for the family they also give tours. I would recommend this place as a fun date spot to take your honey to and treat them to something sweet.

Been a believer in Dick Taylor Chocolates since we first arrived in beautiful Eureka. They have grown at a comfortable pace and really stepped into some creative treats, desserts and unique blends of chocolate bars (so much more than I can possibly list). Drinking chocolate is and excellent treat and such a great variety too. Now they offer a slough of special drinks that continue to surprise and delight. If you haven’t yet been in to Dick Taylor… … you’re in for a treat!!!

We stumbled upon this amazing chocolate shop driving through the town. As soon as you walk in, the clean, well decorated, spacious shop feels welcoming and inviting. The space is well designed and allows you the time to browse. There is plenty of seating for the cafe, which has many appealing treats and beverages. We had some chocolate covered fruit, baked goods, and hot chocolate. All were delicious! We were granted the opportunity to sample quite a few items to decide what items we wanted. We purchased a variety of our favorites. The service was spectacular. Everyone is friendly, seems to enjoy what they do, and are knowledgeable about chocolate. Most notable were Nat, Hayley (sp?), and a gentleman whose name I didn’t catch.

Absolutely amazing chocolate! And the best mocha I’ve ever had, along with one of the best cookies ever too! If you have a sweet tooth this place is a must-visit. Also they have some absolutely lovely local art!

It’s always a treat to visit your hometown and find a gem like Dick Taylor Craft Chocolate! If not for Josh’s recommendation, I might have missed what became a highlight of my trip. The leek and cheddar scone is THE best savory scone I have ever had. The selection of custom chocolates and other quality treats like smoked trout, rosemary shortbread, and brandy fig bon bons are an epicurean delight. I love that they repurposed an Old Town building for the factory and included support beams from a local mill that had fallen into disrepair. Josh is a knowledgeable and personable employee and shared some of the history with me. I was able to watch him work with the candy through the viewing window in the factory. Definitely a place to visit when in Eureka.

From all the other reviews, I am going to hope I had a one off experience and I am open to try again. But I had the brown butter nibs and sea salt bar – which was hands down the most disappointing chocolate bar I have ever encountered … and for the price, ugh, sad trombone.
If an olive was a chocolate bar, that’s what this tastes of. Soured and my tongue legitimately rejected it … I love dark, bold, interesting flavors – which this was none of.
I threw it away after having my husband sample to see if I was having a bad tasting day – he said “This is not good. I do not want it.”

Wide selection of artisan chocolate with plenty of options to sample or purchase. The presentation and variety are clear strengths, and chocolate lovers will likely appreciate the craftsmanship.

For someone who isn’t a chocolate enthusiast, the experience may feel less impressive, but the quality is evident. Worth a stop if you enjoy specialty sweets or want to pick up gifts.

An upscale chocolate maker and retail store, with small batches of chocolates being made at this actual location. The quality is very high, but so are the price of the chocolate, but in this case, you get what you pay for. Good news for those who are 60 years young and older, there is a 10% discount on Tuesday. They also have a pastry and coffee bar inside for additional snack options.
