I came here several times over the past couple of years. The food is that good. I always order the beef ribs and the brisket. The meat is so tender. The BBQ sauce is amazing as well. I always get the mixed sauce. This is definitely the best beef ribs I’ve had in Philadelphia. The ribs are a little pricey but definitely worth it because you get a lot of meat. The sides are also great! I usually get the mac and cheese, green beans, cole slaw, or collard greens.
The customer service is great, and I never have to wait more than 15 minutes for my food. Come here. I guarantee you won’t be disappointed.

3 years ago, this place was 5 stars for their food. I went there recently, and I was disappointed I had 2 orders, one of which they messed up…it was someone else’s order! The sides were tasty, but the chicken was dry and masked by a lot of bbq sauce. My corn bread was burnt. The customer service was good (even though my order was wrong), and the atmosphere is lovely. I will stick to grilling my own meals.

I love brisket but this place has some of the toughest dry brisket I’ve ever eaten.
The pork ribs were pretty good- tender with a nice portion served in the platter. The baked beans, yams, and cornbread was also great.
Their sauce is trash and is clearly from a bottle. Very one note and basic.
Zigzag barbecue is leagues better than this place so I will probably never come back here.

What can I say. This place is delicious. I drove 45 minutes to try this place, and I must say it didn’t let me down. Like most of us, I heard about it from social media, so I had to try it. As you can see from the pics, I had ribs, collard greens, potato salad, and cornbread, and I bought a small macaroni salad. I got my sauce on the side because I wanted to taste the ribs first, and I must say they was fall off the bone good.. The potato and macaroni salad were also delicious. The only thing I can say bad is that I like my collard greens cut up a little smaller, but that’s my preference. The cornbread was delicious. The customer service was great. i wad Greeted with a smile and a big hello. The only thing I can say bad is that I wish they would have given me 2 cups of bbq sauce because the Platters are big enough for two people. If the customer service and the food quality stay the the same, this place is going to be around for a very long time.. I know I will definitely be back..

When I tell you the food is amazing, I mean it! Absolutely outstanding. The customer service truly takes this place to another level. My partner and I stopped by earlier today and ordered two half slabs of pork ribs, the peach cornbread, the sweet potato cornbread, and a side of potato salad. Everything was delicious! Not only did we enjoy the food, but the young lady working at the front window gave such amazing customer service that it really stood out. I was so impressed. I’ll definitely be coming back and will be telling my family about this spot!

Wow, I was not expecting this from this recommended place at all. The yams were extremely sweet and gritty from the amount of sugar. It seems as if they served the bottom of the pan. The yams were hard and stuck together. The RIBS! Look at the bottom of my ribs! I went to cut my ribs in half and I realized I couldn’t. I flipped it over and this was the bottom. UNBELIEVABLE especially for the prices of these platters.

Holy smoking bbq ribs!!!!!!!!! The absolute best ribs in west Philly, jumó out your socks!!! Good. The bold flavors of the bbq sauce alone stand out above the rest, seriously good ! When I grabbed my bag the two platters they were so heavy I thought they made a mistake ! A half rack platter and the chicken ! Bursting at the seams they were unreal the moist wet and thick ribs were Just the beginning , mouth watering sides !!!! The Mac and cheese should be winning awards the cole slaw was so good so well balanced I wish I had a spoon to ladle our every waking bit of sauce. The corn bread was so well made that I probably would cry if I lost any of the crumbles that fell into the sauce ! I can’t rave any More about this place in the heart of Lancaster ! You got to take a trip up to this place it’s well worth the trip not too Far from Belmont Ave. I want to try the brisket next ! The collards were prepared with care. Over all the service at the counter and the smile on her face made my weekend I just love this place ! I ate my platter in the car I couldn’t wait the smell coming out the bag was unreal !!!! Go see for yourself. trust me it’s just that good!
