My wife and I are Mexican and Tex Mex addicts. We try to go at least once a month for a date night to a local restaurant offering our favorite fare. Diaz recently opened right down the road and we decided to give it a try tonight over our other 2 go to places.
Let’s start with our initial impression:
We got there and there was no one there at 8 o’clock on a Saturday night, which, according to the reviews was surprising. We were promptly greeted by our server as well as the owner, Carlos. Yes, it reminded us of the former restaurant but you could tell Carlos was working with what he had and still was motivated to make our experience pleasurable. He talked to me and made us feel very welcome. They brought us chips and salsa and the salsa was excellent. We ordered steak tacos and waited. Carlos brought us out the 3 salsas in the attached photo to try, from mild to scorching. They were a fun addition to our meal, adding a lot of flavor as well as a little heat. The steak tacos were served and I know we can both say they were delicious. We ordered another 3 chicken tacos to take home to our son. Overall we had a wonderful experience and will be returning here soon. Thanks everyone at Diaz for a great meal.

Stopped in to check it out. The food is good, the staff are friendly. Inside if building is dated and needs a fresh new look. Mexican cuisine but still looks like the Burger and Shake.

My husband and I love Mexican food. We stopped here to try Diaz Mexican restaurant last night… I have been heartbroken because my favorite Mexican restaurant recently sold. We were trying to find something along the lines of the restaurant we were previously visiting. The food was absolutely amazing and Carlos, the owner has wonderful customer service that can’t be beat. They do not serve alcohol which I personally like for me and my family . This young man is very driven, extremely hard working and goes above and beyond standard service. I can’t give this enough stars to reflect our experience! Thank you Carlos! Clermont community, let’s help this young man grow his business and flourish in our community and keep our money in the Clermont area. Did I mention the portions are extremely generous.

Food was amazing!!!!! Everything was fresh and hot! Cheese Dip is the best i have ever had! My kiddo said he chicken fingers were better than others (they really were!!!). My husband got the spicy salsa and it did not disappoint!!! Service was great! She was super friendly and efficient!! Fantastic prices!!!!

Our first experience there was great. the food was delicious. And we got a lot more than what we were expecting. The waitress was friendly. And make sure that we are happy during and after our meal. Definitely a place I’ll be going back to.

This is a relatively recent Mexican restaurant in Clermont Georgia. The lovely young lady in their tell me that they were doing very well and you got to consider that they’re doing this without alcohol. Claremont is dry and the mayor won’t let them have alcohol. There’s a lot of money in alcohol in believing having to make it without it you’ve got to have good food. So try it out friends I think that you will like it.

The food was great! The Chicken Soup was a stand-out dish for me! The flavors really blended with the lime and avacado along with the hearty rice and lots of chicken!
I would be doing this establishment wrong if I failed to mention the Chocolate Churros at the end of the meal.
