Fairly good sports bar, great service although it appeared that all food was cooked in an oven type broiler which was a bit strange for a patty melt but the food was good

Stopped in at Diamonds Sports Grill about 2 weeks ago, when my wife and I were on vacation for her niece’s wedding.

It was in walking distance right across the street from our hotel.

The atmosphere and food and service were very good. They were very busy. Maybe a little short staffed but they did very well!

We love all the sports memorabilia around the Establishment ice cold drinks and great food!

It’s a nice little place to stop in and enjoy some sports on TV, a couple of appetizers or drinks with friends.

If you’re ever around town definitely hit up Diamonds, Sports Grille! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Love this place. There’s always a game on and since I lived next door I suppose I was more than a regular. My game would be on and my beer poured and on my table by the time I was finished washing my hands. Great sports bar, chill atmosphere. We’d sit outside and BS as haboobs would blow through or while the monsoons raged. Food is a notch above pub grub, service great, not loud or obnoxious. Bartender is rad. I stop by here every time I roll through PHX.

This spot was recommended by our hotel front desk clerk. Four of us went there and sign said seat yourself which we did. We left after 15/20 minutes. Nobody greeted us! One waitress and one bartender. Waitress has a long braid and I know she saw us and was mighty friendly towards everyone else. Decided to take my dollars to another local restaurant where the staff appreciated us being there. You couldn’t miss us, we were the only black family in the entire restaurant.

Don’t order the shrimp taco unless you have a magnifying glass with you. I was told by the server the cook cuts it up so there wasn’t big chunks. I would say if I got one shrimp in there I would be lucky. Won’t be back. If they can’t grill a few shrimp (which btw was extra) and put them in a taco I wouldn’t try anything else.

We were out running errands and needed food. Diamond’s was a great place to grab a burger and catch the tail end of a game! Our server was incredibly attentive and had a great sense of humor.
Going back when we’re in the area again, for sure!

I would like to preface this by saying – we dined here yesterday & we’re able to sit where we wanted in the same area (party of 10 split between 3-4 tables) & our checks were split per couple as needed. Our experience tonight was polar opposite.
Our waitress was Kaylee M. (Unfortunately)

We came in as a party of 8. sat at a table of 4, and 2 tables of 2. Told we could not split Checks per couple (we were multiple people of tables of a couple of couples) we were told we could only split checks per table, no further – and we were told to venmo eachother & put it on one card.

Then- we were charged gratuity for a group and not able to choose our own gratuity per table.

Kaylee M. Was incredibly rude, dismissive & discriminatory from the beginning of the interaction. The parameters were not explained until after we ordered (we would have arranged better per couple had the parameters been explained) *Note: there was a sign that said 1 check per table, but when you enter from the patio the sign is not apparent. The sign in front does not allow for hostile / negative behavior from any waitress ever.

Another waitress came out to tell us that our waitress wasnt smart enough to split our bill per couple, rather than per table…and it was the owners fault that they could only split per table… (she was waiting the bar and when we asked why she was giving us so much attitude she expressed that taking care of us wasnt her job and she needed to wait her bar, to which we requested to have our original waitress back to sort out the issues)

To the original waitress, We asked for the automated gratuity to be removed (to allow us to choose our own gratuity at a higher rate than the automatically applied 18%) to which she said she would do for one of the tables of 2, but not the table of four. When we asked why it was split like that, but then gratuity added to ALL OF THE CHECKS (at that point multiple people in a single couple were all being charged gratuity) – we asked- “why are we being charged as a large party, if we are forced to sit at separate tables, and charged per table) the waitress responded with hostility, defensive & told us to pay our bill and leave. (Never once did we ever say we were not going to pay, we always pay our bills)

The interaction ended by the waitress stomping away. No resolution for anyone & we paid our overcharged tab and left peacefully. We will not be back to this location. Id rather overpay across the street at the hotel bar than deal with the terrible, uncurious service at Diamonds.

If you value customer service, avoid this location.

I didn’t even get to try the food. Upon entering this establishment we were greeted by a large sign that states only one check per table. I’m on business travel with coworkers and due to the limitations of our travel cards, we must have separate checks. So beware if you’re in a large group and think you’re going to all pay separate checks. I guess math is hard for some businesses.

We ate dinner here from out of town and it did not disappoint. The place was pretty busy from the World Series game but we were taken good care of by staff. Would go again.
