We are a family owned and operated steak house that serves the best in hand cut steaks and southern comfort food. We are open Wed.-Sat. evenings with our full menu, as well as a limited lunch menu on Thurs. and Fri. that changes each day. We are the perfect venue for date night, business meetings, or a family get together with a laid back atmosphere and the best service around. As Mrs. Bet used to say it’s Good Sho-Nuff!!!

Wow, what a steak! I’ve had a better salad and baked potato elsewhere. But, you won’t find a better steak anywhere in Alabama. Quality of meat was 10/10 and was cooked & seasoned perfectly. Very reasonably priced as well. Will be back sooner than later!

Diamond Jim’s & Miss Donna’s was a great spot! The country feel and lively atmosphere made for a welcoming experience. Our ribeye steak was flavorful, but slightly overcooked to medium-well and a tad too salty. To take it to the next level, a bit less salt would be perfect. That being said, the meat itself was delicious, and the atmosphere was mixed but inclusive. We appreciated the warm welcome!

I am from out of state and happened to pass by and decided to stop in after seeing the famous caramel cake on the sign. lol
Food was plentiful and tastes great. I had the pulled pork with a side of house cut fries and baked beans and cornbread. Fantastic! Caramel cake was legit. Will definitely stop here again if I’m on I-20 in this area!

We were passing through and looking for a place to eat. Let me tell you that their food was Amazing. We both ordered steak and I will have to say it was the best steak I have ever ate. Cooked to perfection, tender and mouthwatering. You should not pass by and not stop…it is so worth it.

Great food. Went for lunch. Best baked beans I’ve ever had, Mac-n-cheese was homemade and just right. BBQ and fried chicken were great.

HORRIBLE SERVICE! We have been driving from Tuscaloosa to Livingston for over 12 years. It used to be the best place for a steak and perfect date night. This place has went down since Mrs Donna is no longer here. She would be ashamed!! We waited 2 hours to be seated, then 1 hour 40 minutes to get our salads. When they finally brought the steaks, they substituted our baked potatos for cold fries! Instead of telling us they were out of potatoes. We had to get up and get our own silverware and I asked someone else for my drink because our waitress was so horrible. Once we finally got the food, we sent it back and the owner came out to our table highly intoxicated, cussing and our son did not need to hear this language or see this behavior. Jim did not care. I was so irritated because this would have never happened when Mrs Donna was here. Never again will we ever be back at this place!

I think we are finally done with this place. The food and service have been on a steady decline the past few months. Every time you go here lately there is a new piece of paper in the menu with price increases. All steaks have now increased $7. Vegetables are a $3 up charge. It is literally just those steam in bag California blend vegetables. A glass of tea is now $3.
Tonight, we waited 20 minutes for our waitress to acknowledge us. It took over an hour to get our food. We watched tables all around us where there was four plus people and they would bring out one persons food and then not the others for a while. The table beside us all had their food staggered. The first person was finished by the time the last person got theirs.
My steak was suppose to be medium rare and my husband’s medium well. They were cooked exactly the same and were lukewarm at best. I got no butter or sour cream with my potato, we got no refills, my husband had to find our waitress to get our ticket and she told him “Wait a minute, I have to do math.”.
It was $90 for two mediocre steaks, a naked potato, fries, two pitiful little rolls, water, and a salad. Then they had the audacity to charge me $3 to use my debit card!

I called in a to go order including chicken wings, Bama shrimp, fried crab claws, and the famous ribeye with salad and a baked potato. I stayed at a local hotel down the street and my Uber never came so I had to walk half a mile to get my food. I expected it to be cold by the time I got it and walked back but everything was wrapped in foil and still piping hot by the time I got to it. Everything was good but the crab claws were a hit and the steak was cooked to perfection. Something that stuck out to me was the owner Donna. She was very sweet. When I told her I walked she seemed very concerned as it was cold and raining lightly. Before I left she offered me an umbrella and gently grabbed both of my hands to warm them before I left. I feel like she said a little prayer for me before I left.

My twin bro and I hadn’t been back together in Livingston since we were roommates in college there over twenty years ago. He saw this restaurant I think on Facebook and we decided to go down to reminisce and grab a bite to eat on the way back home. The steaks are amazing here and I will say they rival my favorite, Longhorn. Steaks were fresh, tender, and seasoned through and through. I had a 16 oz ribeye and it was cooked perfectly and of good portion size. Baked beans were delicious. Our server Bre, was excellent. She took care of us promptly and was very knowledgeable about the menu and suggestive of things. The place can get a little crowded and parking can get a little congested as well. The steaks are the star here, although my niece had the crab claws and one of my nephews had chicken tenders. This place has a good country atmosphere. Only thing I can suggest is some type of music. Management should look into maybe 80s, country, soft rock, or rhythm and blues music to be played softly as guests eat their food. Just a little suggestion :). Will definitely come back here.

We stopped here because we were diverted in traffic and this was the closest stop after being stuck in the car for too long that was open for lunch.
The reviews and pictures looked ok so we tried it. The restaurant is small and cozy, inside is definitely not fancy and I wouldn’t feel bad coming in a T-shirt and flip flops to come eat. There were a handful of people when we arrived and it quickly filled up to capacity.
Our waitress, Hailey, eventually came and took our order. There were crackers on the table the kids were able to eat while we waited.
The lunch menu offered two main meats – fried pork chop and meatloaf and a variety of sides you could order to make a meal. They also had a chicken salad plate on the menu. I ordered the meat loaf with a side of cabbage with the salad bar the chicken salad plate.
It took Hailey 20 minutes after taking my order to come and tell me there was no chicken salad, and then to ask if I wanted something else. I asked for the pork chop.
The salad bar was ok, the tomatoes and cucumbers were freshly cut and clean, but the salad greens were a little brown and wilted. There was also ham and eggs and cheese so I made the kids a little plate that they were able to munch while we waited some more.
We finally got the meatloaf plate and it was decent! It was sweet, tender, and when eaten with the cabbage, it tasted like a stuffed cabbage. Unfortunately, the meatloaf looked like it was dropped on the floor before it made it to my plate, but we were very hungry at this time so we ate it as is. 5-10 minutes later I see the other tables that ordered after us get their pork chops.
Still no pork chop plate for me and we had ordered first and wasn’t told there wasn’t any chicken salad until long afterwards. Hailey didn’t even bother telling me how long it was take for my food so I asked her to cancel.
Thank goodness we have no reason to be in Livingston. I would not go back, especially because of the horrible service. I doubt they care though.
