If you’re from Akron, then you know that the Diamond Grille is a landmark for their decades of serving amazing food. Nine decades, exactly, as they celebrated their 90th anniversary, recently.
W KNEW we wanted to be there for pork chop week, so we made reservations for ans it was everything we hoped it would be
All the courses were included with the menu – she started with the shrimp cocktail, while I went with the stuffed banana peppers. Those appetizers were followed by a fresh and colorful salad. A drink was included as well, so I ordered an Old Fashioned. It was perfectly poured and an absolute delight to sip on once the star of the show arrived… Two double cut pork chops
They were massive! But they were also incredibly tender and juicy. Lightly seasoned and ringed with a yummy fat ribbon Yummmm. We both chose the brownie sundae for dessert and you can tell by the photo that it was the perfect way to end a delicious meal.
Cheers to 90 more, Diamond Grille, and thanks for a romantic evening

Amazing. Probably the most perfectly cooked and best tasting steak I have had anywhere! (I regret forgetting to take a picture of the steak cut open) Everything was delicious for our entire table of eight from the apps to dessert. We will definitely come back to try other menu items.

Made reservations a couple of weeks in advance. We arrived early and were seated promptly which is great. The problem was that they have an oddly placed table for two right next to a table for 6-8 and that’s where we were sat. This table was so close to the other table that you had to move anytime someone from the other table needed to get up from their table. It was so close to the large table that all you could hear was their conversation and there was no chance of having a quiet private conversation between the two of us during our very expensive, romantic date. We asked for another table and we were told that all the tables were booked but we looked around then and throughout the night and saw empty tables for two. I am not exactly sure why that table had to be designated as our table.
Our waitress was extremely nice and very attentive and would deserve a 5 star rating had we been sat at a decent table so I will not deduct that from her because that’s not fair.
The food however I’ve knocked down from a 4 to a 2 because when you’re paying a premium the ambiance plays into how enjoyable the food is. For us, at that table, it was no better experience than going to an Outback or Texas Roadhouse but easily 3x as expensive. My steak was slightly overcooked but not enough to complain about despite expectations being they should no how to cook a steak proper.
I don’t know if I’ll give Diamond Grille another shot down the road because it’s such an expensive shot but we will see. It hurts giving a local small business a poor review but hopefully this will help them understand that the table we sat at should just not exist in a restaurant where customers want to feel like they are doing something special.

Really enjoyed date night here! My girlfriend and I have wanted to check out this place for a while, it’s been on our “Must Try” list and it did not disappoint. Great service and the food was top notch – the homemade Sauerkraut balls were AMAZING – I had a steak that needed 0 sauce it was so tasty. My GF got the Scallops and loved them – advised she got 0 sand (which isn’t always the case). Highly recommend for a nice date not. FYI – Cash Only!!!

Jeannie was just a FANTASTIC server! Extremely attentive, fun, jovial, pleasant, and genuine. Food- perfect! Can not rave enough about how delicious it was! Bartender knew how to make a Sazerac which my husband thoroughly enjoyed. We had such a fantastic time didn’t notice the time – almost 3 hours of food, drinks, and fun! The atmosphere and ambiance very reminiscent of old refined dining of days past.

I love this place. I’ve been going here for easily…8years. Just the other day I took my girlfriend here on our date night and it was the first time I’ve been here in about 2 years. Still the same great place. Amazing all around. The food was wonderful and the service too.
It’s a really nice spot just on the edge of the city for a nice elegant meal with some good ambiance.

Tuesday night at Diamond Grille they have a special, a porterhouse steak, sliced off the bone and then put back on the Bone just like Peter Luger in Brooklyn. I had it done Pittsburgh style, medium, rare, and split it. It was an amazing, OUTSTANDING cut of meat perfectly cooked with a wonderful flavor. Couldn’t ask for anything better.

We came for our anniversary dinner and were treated like royalty, just like anyone else that walks through the door. The service was outstanding and met our high expectations. The Diamond Grille has quite the reputation, and we were very pleased with what they had to deliver. The cocktails were traditional with bold flavors. The sour kraut balls were beautifully golden brown and the sauce paired with it was delicious. The 9oz filet was the best I’ve had in Summit county. The tenderloin steak sandwich was less of a sandwich and more of a 6oz filet with Texas toast and sandwich toppings, but still cooked to a perfect medium rare. We can’t wait to come back for more special nights out!
