Loved this gem. Checked it out while stopping to refuel and was extremely impressed. Great atmosphere, food and drinks. Service/staff is exceptional as well. Steven, the bartender was very pleasant and made great drinks. Check it out!

We love visiting the Diamond Grill for a quiet special dinner. I love that I can visit with the people I’m dining with without other loud guests and noisy atmosphere. The setting of this beautiful building is like being in a museum. The attentive staff comes to you at just the right times. Your water glass never goes empty. Your crafted cocktails come out perfect each time. The food is always beautiful and delicious! The staff here work hard to give everyone a nice experience.

The food was definitely a 5 during my last visit, but this time, the broccolini was a bit charred and extremely salty as if the seasoning spilled on to it. My redfish shrimp and risotto were excellent. My husband’s steak was charred (overcooked) as well. The bone was completely burnt, and so the taste was on the steak. But any other time, this place is phenomenal. I wouldn’t let this deter me from going back.

Food was gross. Ordered the vegetable stir fry with a side of creamed spinach. The vegetable stir fry tasted like a bottle of soy sauce had spilled on the food. Cook was way too heavy-handed on the sauce to the point that it was gross. I politely let the server know, she did not remove the dish even though it was not eaten. Another person at our table had the same problem with the marinated steak that they ordered. Quality of food definitely did not match the price. Only giving this two stars because the building was pretty. Would not recommend this place if you are looking for food that tastes good.

Always a good choice when you want one of the best dining experiences Alexandria has to offer. Beautiful decor and rich history. Service is always top notch and the kitchen keeps some of your favorites available but continually comes up with new dishes and suggestions that hit the spot. Great place for a large group and plenty of tables tucked away if you want a spot for 2. Food is always wonderful – highly recommend!

We stumbled on this driving through the town. The grill part threw us because we were looking for burgers. Very pricey but amazing. The bread served is off the charts amazing. Beautiful place for date night.

This place is very unique architecture, service not so much. Me, my husband, & my 6 mo son came here on a whim to try something different & nice after having to drive 1.5 hrs to sign some paperwork. The service was horrible. We got there right when they opened and there was us and another couple. We were seated and then watched several servers pass us as they prepared reservation tables for who to sit at because we never saw anyone show. I had to go ask the hostess to please get us a server after about 20 + mins of waiting. The hostess nor the server asked if we would like a high chair for our son. Didn’t even know they had one until a totally random server came asking if I would like one, I told him not to worry about, because at this point I had already found a way to wedge my sons carrier between a chair and myself. The food was about 3.5 rating, the service a 0. We are usually big tippers and it’s sad this server missed out.

My husband and I randomly were traveling thru and found this little spot . We decided to try it . We walked in and didn’t have reservations but we were immediately sat. I believe we got there right at open. Our server was not very attentive. I’m not sure if this was due to her having tables on the top floor and bottom floor. I ordered cocktails . I had the vanilla ice coffee. It was bitter with no vanilla flavor at all. I then ordered the key lime pie , this was my favorite! So yummy just like the pie. I followed that with the chocolate martini it was so delicious (very sweet) ! My husband had Dr pepper and had to continuously ask for refills. Bread was brought to us after my second cocktail. The rolls were cold . Not appetizing. We waited a long time for our meals. They were not busy. When the food arrive it looked very appealing. We both ordered steaks. My husband steak and garlic mash were cooked perfect! My steak was a little under but no big deal it was good regardless. I had the risotto and unfortunately it had a crunch to it. It was creamy and had a good cheese flavor. We each got a dessert. I got the chocolate cake. It had way too much chocolate syrup on it . It was very rich. I didn’t enjoy it. My husband got the creme brulee . It was garnish with fresh berries. It was in a gravy boat and was thin. It didn’t have a good crack to it. It tasted pudding.

I loved the atmosphere of the old jewelry store, hence the “diamond” grill. It has a bar that is above the main floor restaurant. I had the best wedge salad with lump crabmeat, an order of grilled asparagus and fabulous Creme Brule. Others in my party ordered steaks and they enjoyed them. It was a nice fine-dining experience in Alexandria.
