Today, my wife and I visited Diamond Bay restaurant, which is known for both its dim sum and a separate barbecue section—also called Diamond Bay, though that name isn’t distinct on Google Maps.

We started inside with dim sum, and it was wonderful—no wait, and the service was excellent. Honestly, that dim sum experience alone would have earned a five-star rating.

After we finished, we ordered takeout from the separate barbecue section. We tried the barbecue duck at $42 each and a one-pound portion of crispy pork. Once we got home, we realized the duck was quite oily and rich in fat, and the flavor didn’t quite reach its potential.

The crispy pork, unfortunately, was dry, with a burnt taste from the torching—so it lacked that ideal balance of crispness and moisture. Overall, the dim sum was a great highlight, deserving of five stars, but the barbecue side, as a separate experience, brought it down to a four.

We’ll definitely come back again!

One of the newer Chinese restaurants in ID district that offers outstanding dim sum and bbq. Their prices are a little higher than others, but their portions are very generous, ingredients fresh and premium, and settings clean and bright.
We’ve been there for dim sum and dinners with friends. Their most noteworthy offerings are their bbq, especially their ducks.
They provide free parking across the street under the bridge although getting in and out of that lot can be a little tricky.

Excellent dim sum! Everything cam out hot and fresh. Chinese BBQ next door is also excellent. Lots of tables but its still packed on the weekends. Fast service, order by QR code. Everything came out hot.

Chinese new year gathering with Church friends. We arrived at 11 AM. It already started to be busy. When we leave at 12:30 there is a long queue outside. Food is authentic Cantonese dim sum. I like the reddish cake. The most eating area is big can hold big gathering banquet.

Great dim sum! All the dishes were good and reasonably priced. Also like how they package your leftovers for you at the end.

The only thing I have poor feedback on is that I had to ask for an ice water multiple times. Finally got it on my 3rd ask 50 mins into the meal.

Got XLB, chicken sticky rice, xo stir fried cheung fun, chive dumplings. Food was pretty delicious but service was terrible (even for Hong Kong standards). Felt very rushed despite food taking a long time to come out. Probably a place that is better suited for take out

The Dim Sum here pretty good, however it is a little on the steep in running about $8 per basket. I did like the congee, probably one of the better congees in the area, $12/bowl, it can probably share about 6 little bowls to a family, so that’s nice. I do suggest coming here and form your own opinion, this is my second visit, my first visit was really impressive.

Loved the open space, you can see all tables and people.

The service is good and table is clean.

Food wise: Ordered dim sums, olives fried rice noodle and preserved egg porridge.

Liked porridge, not a big fan of olives fried rice noodle. Dim sums are average.

Diamond Bay is a fantastic spot for dim sum lovers in Seattle. The food is absolutely amazing — fresh, flavorful, and authentically prepared. It’s one of the best places in the city for a quality dim sum experience. Service is quick and efficient, and the staff are incredibly friendly and attentive, making sure you’re well taken care of throughout your meal.

The only downside is the parking — it can be quite difficult to find a spot nearby, especially during peak hours. That said, the overall experience more than makes up for the inconvenience. Highly recommended for anyone craving top-notch dim sum with excellent service.

Everything was really yummy — you can taste the wok hei in the stir-fries. Dishes were flavorful and comforting. Would happily come back.
