Special shoutout to Olive — she gave us excellent service. She was very polite, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout our meal. Portion sizes were great and definitely worth the price.
Overall, a fantastic experience. Highly recommend this restaurant, and I’ll definitely be coming back again!
The sophisticated, yet casual, décor provides the perfect ambiance for exceptional dining. The Italian influence is evident and clever twists take the flavour experiences over the top. The talented kitchen turns out the full range of skills and creativity… Pastas are flawless as are mains – the Chicken Piccata being a favourite. Plating and presentation trigger anticipation. The desserts are sumptuous and ingenious… The full dining room reflects diner enthusiasm – a sentiment shared by Chef Aprile who says bringing his craft to Burlington is “exciting chance to be part of a great neighbourhood with a vibrant culinary scene.”
Will definitely be back.
To make matters worse, we watched other parties who arrived later than us get seated in booths immediately. Even with our booking confirmation in hand, our request wasn’t honored, which set a disappointing tone for the evening.
The Food
The kitchen was a bit of a hit-or-miss:
• Arancini: These were very plain; mostly just cheese and lacked any real seasoning or “wow” factor.
• Mains: The Seafood Linguine and Bolognese were actually quite good and the best part of the meal.
• Tiramisu: Very mediocre. It tasted like it had been sitting in the fridge for a while and lacked the freshness you’d expect.
The Service
The bright spot of the night was our waiter, Charlie. She was wonderful, professional, and provided great service throughout the night. She did a great job, but unfortunately, the service alone couldn’t make up for the seating snub and the lackluster appetizers and dessert.
Final Verdict: First impressions matter, and based on the seating issues and inconsistent food, I wouldn’t go back.
