The actual ratio of meat was a little low for my taste, and not a ton of flavor. I don’t think the hot peppers they give are that spicy either. Bread was decent
Everyone working there was super friendly and even the other customers were great.
We stumbled onto this little gem while road tripping and their hoagies were amazing! The staff were very helpful, friendly, and excited to have us in. We chatted about our trip and how we wound up here while they freshly sliced and cooked our cheese steak and Italian. It was a simple gesture that went a long way to make us feel welcome while traveling.
Their homemade hot peppers were very flavorful with just the right amount of spice to them. I personally would’ve liked them a little hotter but they were very enjoyable.
We also read their history wall and were stunned when we saw that this family business was 100 years old! Just goes to show the quality and care they must show to have made it that far! They also have a claim to the term hoagie. I enjoyed the articles saying that it doesn’t really matter at the end of the day. A good sandwich is what matters and Di Constanza delivers on that!
I highly recommend this spot!
It’s a small place, we found out they have been in business for 100 years… Wow. Friendly staff. I just wanted a sandwich and man… I got a SANDWICH. The pic is a “small” on their menu. I can’t imagine a large. It was delicious, filling, o reloaded with toppings. Thanks guys for the food and service.
Customer service 10/10
Ingredients 8.9/10 (veggies fresh, oil really good)
Reviewing them in the order I liked them
(Sn they do not put lettuce aka crunchy water on their subs)
Italian 7.8/10
Turkey 8.3/10
Nigerian 8.9/10
The Italian didn’t have as much ummph of flavor from the meats as the Nigerian or Turkey but still was better than everywhere in DE except Ioannis and Sonny’s in Elkton.
The turkey was salty and savory in a good way but not an overpowering way and the veggies compliment the meat creating a balance of flavor….i don’t usually get turkey subs but I think that might be my next review series
The Nigerian…same as turkey salty and savory in the best way possible first bite was a “got dayum” bite where you have to look at the sandwich and be like “is this real” so because the Nigerian had the same turkey but the added benefit of corned beef(which was so good) and then the addition of the roast beef which was beefy and savory…i opted for mayo on this one and was def the right choice….I’ve only ever had the Nigerian from Olympics and from the first time I had it to the second the quality has gone down…I believe they have it at Hommes Hoagies so I’ll give theirs a try one day as well…
Di Constanza’s 8.5/10 total ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
The cheese steak is awesome also! I’d like the meat to be seasoned more but that may just be a personal preference.
