The peak of fine dining on the Isle of Spice! Dexter’s was so good. All 5 courses were great and the staff was so friendly, from the chef and his wife, to all the servers. This place is truly food from the soul. Much of the other “fine dining” establishments on the island are soulless restaurants at fancy resorts which are all probably not very good. This place is for real. It’s real Grenadian food from real Grenadians. I got shrimp for a main course and it was some of the best shrimp I’ve ever had. Everything else was great too! My wife is vegetarian and they accommodated her perfectly. I would highly recommend eating here! You can message them on WhatsApp for a reservation.

I’m struggling to understand why some people have called his food mediocre or why they felt compelled to give a 1 star rating.
From Dexters welcome to his explanations, his food and service from his staff it was at least a 5 star experience and I’ve eaten in cheap roadside cafés to 3 Michelin stared restaurants.
The three starters of risotto, pumpkin and ginger soup then cuvalli were flavourful correctly sized portions and above all deliciously memorable.
The lobster main was perfectly cooked and not in the least bit dry or overcooked accompanied by a cream sauce and vegetables.
Desert was a cheesecake with a peanut butter ice cream to finish off a fantastic meal with excellent service from the proficient and friendly staff.
Go just before sunset to complete the experience.

An absolutely beautiful view at our 6:30pm reservation time. Well-paced, classy relaxed 5 course meal. My favorites were the risotto, the pork tenderloin, the very soft cheesecake and the nutmeg ice cream. Lovely ambiance, clean and bright. Service was excellent. Price was great. We had a wonderful first night of our honeymoon. The reservation part was a bit difficult to get done but it is totally worth it, just keep trying. Dexter takes the time to come out and say hello, too. We really enjoyed our experience.

Excellent meal. One of my favorites in Grenada. Price is also fair for the quality and amount of food that you get. 3 starters, 1 main, 1 dessert and a drink. The waiter explains the menu to you. There is no actual menu. The service is quick and efficient. Staff is good also. You can ask them to slow it down if you like to take your time. The food is delicious. Most of the seats are on the veranda. 2 different levels. Both you can see the ocean from. I highly recommend. Reservations are required but we walked in early and they gave us a seat.

Amazing 5 course meal in Grenada! Not the typical dining experience we would go for on a vacation but we are so glad we ended up here. Dexter and the staff were so welcoming and food was out of this world. So much food and wine for a very reasonable price! Would definitely recommend !!

Wonderful five course menu with excellent service on New Year’s Eve 2025. Each of the items, from the risotto to the fish, duck, lamb, shrimp and beef all first class. Very intimate setting in a residential area overlooking the harbor. Beware, does not open until 5pm but not really a lunch or breakfast place anyway. Go for an occasion, a birthday, anniversary, whatever’s… it’s special!

Excellent food!! Dexter’s is reservation only and the restaurant is currently in the living room and on the porch of a home. It has a lovely family feel, the chef visits each table to share the options for the night, and every dish was fantastic. We would definitely go back.
