This restaurant is located right inside the Marriott at the University of Dayton. It’s very open with plenty of seating and a nice bar area with good, fair priced drinks. The cheese and pepperoni flatbread was delicious. I highly recommend the chocolate cake! Game days at Dayton make it VERY busy so if you don’t like crowds just avoid coming during those times.

Staying at the attached hotel, decided on this for a dinner without having to leave the hotel. Was a little confused at how seating worked as they didn’t have a hostess setup yet, so ended up walking in until I could find an employee who sat us down. Food was delicious but a bit pricey for the serving size.

My son took me to breakfast and we had a lovely meal. Eggs were cooked perfectly. Service was good, our waitress was taking care of the entire restaurant as someone didn’t show up to work. Very relaxing, not noisy like many places.

Called on May 4, 2023 to make resevations for breakfast brunch the guy thst aswered the phonr had a attitude cause I asked anout the motherday brunch special and sunday breakfast. He put me on hold fot a long period of time and kept checking the line to see if I hung up the phone. How Rude! If you dont like customer service then you need to move on to something eles. Only wated pricing so I can write it down to discuss with the family so we can choose and reserve a spot. Very disapointed

As far as hotel restaurants go, the food was a bit above par. Wait staff was overwhelmed AGAIN and the atmosphere leaves much to be desired. Had the pretzel bites which were good. The accompanying cheese dip lacks spiciness. No bite of beer or jalapenos present to wake up the mouth. Flatbread was quite good, and their allowance for topping it your way really lets it shine. Again, in catering to as wide an audience as possible, the sausage and pepperoni lacked any discernible spicy punch. The ingredients were very fresh though and the serving sizes are larger than expected.

Decent experience at Dewberry 1850 but not anything that would bring me back. Service was a bit spotty the evening I visited and food took nearly 50 minutes to be delivered. I had the tabbouleh which was relatively tasty with a innovative mix of flavors. My wife had the crispy chicken sandwich which was rather bland and overpowered by the wheat wrap. Presentation of the food could also use some work. If I was in a pinch I would try other menu options. Otherwise, I’ll just be back for drinks.
