Wow!! This restaurant is upping Redding’s food game! We had the wild mushroom arancini, Caesar salad, primavera rotini salad, and the rigatoni al pesto. For dessert, we had panna cotta and deconstructed cannoli. Everything was delicious, fresh, and had delightful surprises. For example, the primavera rotini salad was actually made with campanelle—which is arguably an even better pasta shape—and had really delicious spices, crunches of pistachio, and perfectly cooked root vegetables. The rigatoni al pesto had really creamy pesto sauce. The wild mushroom arancini was also fantastic: delicious inside and out with a fresh tomato sauce and basil olive oil.

Compliments to the chef! We’ll definitely be back.

We really loved everything about this restaraunt! They set up the heater on the patio just for us, the server gave AMAZING recommendations, super on top of it, I dont think either of our glasses were ever less than half full. And our dirty plates were bussed almost immediately! The food was phenomenal, their cocktails are delicious! Perfect for a special occasion or date night. This is definitely one of the more elevated restaraunts in redding. So happy that this amazing location has the food and service to match! Well done.

Had a wonderful lunch and drinks here. The lamb shank was incredibly tender and fell off the bone. Absolutely mouth watering and my Negroni was amazing. Our server Breeanna was fantastic and made our dining experience second to none. Absolutely recommend.

We had Pete as our server and he was great and has been there since before the restaurant was sold and used to be “The View”. The restaurant does have a pretty view. We got to sit outside and enjoy a heated propane fireplace and portable heater despite the colder weather. I got the goat and my little girl got the buttered noodles. She didn’t like it but Pete said the day and added garlic oil and she loved it after his improvement. As long as they have that guy working there, I’m giving them a solid 5 star review.

Pros: The restaurant is beautiful, the set up is simple and classy, it was raining but there is a gorgeous outdoor patio that over looks the river, there is plenty of seats , the waitress was nice enough to break down individual tabs on a large party and did a great job trying alone to wait on a table of 16.

Cons: The food was my biggest issue, the food was bland, no taste at all, honestly there was nothing special about the food, it tastes like something you’d get from a frozen dinner sadly, the menu is fancy but you get the food and its definitely lack luster, also portions sizes are small especially considering the price. I was not impressed which is disappointing because I had high hopes for this place.

Food wasn’t bad just not something I would go back for. Short ribs had a great flavor but super fatty. No blender for mixed drinks. Scallops were very good. Didn’t like the bread mozzarella appetizer. Mushrooms appetizer was just ok. Calamari was pretty good. LOVE the chandeliers!!! Beautiful restaurant!! No salmon or filet on the menu.

What an incredible addition to Redding! I loved my experience today with Thomas as our Server. We met Paul too and there was a gentlemen who brought me Sauternes who was wonderful, I forgot his name but he was wearing all black and a short sleeve polo. All of these guys seem like Hospitality Legends. Thank you for: the handshakes, the prompt service and for making me and my guest feel completely at home.

Preface: I am NOT a Food Critic. I know what great food is supposed to look like and taste like. That being said, my favorite Chocolate is Hersheys, favorite Beer is Corona, and my favorite meal is a PB&J with Sour Cream and Onion Chips. Most small children have better developed palates than me. I will struggle in being able to describe the nuances, elegance or complexity of dishes in the soon-to-be mentioned food; this is because I have the palate of a five year old. No disrespect to the food or Culinary Team if I dont capture each dishes’ uniqueness

Food: Arancini filled with wild mushroom risotto and grana padano; great but not quite for me. Caesar Salad was to my liking. I especially liked the croutons, very light. I wouldnt be surprised if its a house made bread. We got the foccacia, it is housemade and came hot, right out of the oven. The Pesto Chicken Pasta was wonderful, I prefer Ragu Bolognese but was going for something different. If you like pesto, its a must-have. Their Steak, sourced from the Owner’s Local Ranch, is thinly sliced and pounded, resting atop a pomme puree (creamy mashed potatotes.). It is topped with arugula, a handful of cherry tomatoes and a lemon vinaigrette. This dish was insanely good. I ordered it medium because my guest likes medium rare and forgive me; im a bad, bad boy. I do my steak well done. I would’ve devoured it if I ate it at a ‘ruined’ temperature but I wanted my guest to be able to enjoy.

Dessert: tiramisu, this was fine and elegant. It had little espresso gel on top, tiny little spheres and chocolate shavings. Dessert was fine but I only enjoy a bite or so.

Drinks: my buddy got a stunning cocktail and I got Willamette Valley Pinot Noir. I really wanted Nickel and Nickel’s Dolce for dessert which is a botrytis wine but they didn’t have it. They offered the next best think which was a Sauternes. I love Sauternes but the patriot in me makes me want to buy domestic wines. Nickel is from California and doesnt have the French price tag.

Overall: Super elegant and classy, like Ron Burgundy classy. I love this place already. Its a great place for a first date, its a great place to go to keep a relationship exciting and a wonderful place to celebrate Anniversaries, Birthdays or other Special Occasions. This is a place to feel special after an accomplishment or graduation and it felt non-judgy. I really liked it.

Shout out to Jesus, the Head Chef. He came out after hearing it was our first experience and gave a personal touch.

Thank you: Jesus, Thomas, Paul, the Gentleman with the Sauternes, the entire Front of House and Back of House Staff that make this place work. Thank you to the new Owners, for providing Redding with a beautiful Venue with a stunnig Menu. Thank you also, to the Redding locals and travelers that visit this Business and support these team of hospitality professionals.

Best, Jon

We had an absolutely incredible evening at DeVine! From the moment we walked in, the ambiance was warm, inviting, and beautifully done, the perfect setting for a night out with friends.

Our waiter, Tommy, was outstanding. He was attentive, very familiar with the entire menu, and genuinely welcoming. The entire wait staff was on point all evening, making sure our experience was seamless and enjoyable.

We started with the Calamari Fritto and the Elwood House Meatballs, both were fantastic. The calamari was perfectly crisp and light, and the meatballs were rich, flavorful, and sauce was so flavorful.

For entrées, we had the Elwood Goat Shank, Elwood Short Ribs, and Pollo alla Toscana. Every dish was exceptional. The goat shank was tender and full of flavor, the short ribs were melt-in-your-mouth delicious, and the pollo alla Toscana was perfectly balanced with broccoli and creamy potatoes.

We ended the night with the Deconstructed Cannoli, which was the perfect sweet finish to an amazing meal. The spicy kick made this dessert one of a kind.

Amazing food, impeccable service, and an incredible atmosphere. It was such an enjoyable evening with friends, and we’re already looking forward to our next visit. Highly recommend!

The food was absolutely devine. The server was knowledgeable about the menu and able to answer any questions. They were also great with accommodating food allergies. Highly recommend ordering the tiramisu for dessert.

Ordered take out. From the phone call to the final bagged preparation. The food was an incredible find…. for Redding! We ordered the Spezzatino and Pappardelle Frutti di Mare. Both hit the spot. I celebrate higher level culinary dining in the city. One of the better takes on Italian cuisine in the area. DeVINE thank you for existing! May you thrive on as you continue to uphold high standards.
