Came by on the off chance after hiking around Bear’s Lodge (Devil’s Tower). It was so cold we needed something hot. Husband and daughter had classic burger while I had fluffy buffalo – when in Rome! – burger. Thoroughly enjoyed our food. Had one cheesecake. Now, I always am wary of cheesecake as the ones in Cheesecake factory leaves me with stomach issues, it’s always too sweet which is the problem. So here I ordered just the one to share with my husband to lessen the risk of upset stomach. I highly recommend the cheesecake here, it’s far superior than the ones in cheesecake factory. It’s not sweet, just right, thick and creamy.
Excellent service and a wonderful shop next to the cafe which we ended up buying some things to remember our time in Wyoming.

I stopped at Devil’s Tower Cafe on Sunday at 10:40 AM, and it exceeded my expectations. The place had many cool items as decorations, the service was outstanding, and the food was delicious.
The theme of decorations was very Western, with lots of paintings for sale. The tables had everything you need, condiments and paper towels, and the server was friendly and had personality. I ordered fish and chips, and they were excellent. The fish was fresh and fried to
The fries were perfection, as well. The server suggested a local beer, which was excellent. For dessert, I had huckleberry ice cream with huckleberry sauce—a perfect meal after an ideal hike at Devil’s Tower.

This cafe was great as we had not planned ahead well to see all of the breakfast options in Sundance were closed on Mondays (off season at least). I did call ahead to make sure they would be open. Great view of Devils Tower and you’ll find half gift shop/half cafe. Although not a lot of options we found plenty that we would enjoy. I got the breakfast tacos with sausage and my husband enjoyed his Classic American. The tacos were great and more food than I could eat as it came with tater tots. Although they were out of juice I had a great cup of tea and loved the tea cup it was served in.

Pleasant locally owned restaurant and shop near Devils Tower National Monument. The rating is based on similar style restaurants.
Food 4/5: I ordered a bison steak, with steak fries, and green beans for a gluten friendly option. The steak was medium rare and had good flavor, but salty. The green beans were previously frozen but were made to accommodate a healthy side request. The bread and onion rings although I couldn’t eat were still served with the steak. I would recommend keeping separate for others that might be keto or GF.
My kid ordered a buffalo burger and said it was the best burger he’s had to date! The side was lightly breaded medallion fries… they were said to be tasty. My partner ordered the fish and chips with the medallion fries. Again they were from frozen but out in the middle of nowhere that’s to be expected. All was very hot and tasty food.
Atmosphere 4.5/5: A very clean and down home country atmosphere. It was neat to walk around the shop while waiting on the food. The only thing missing was a view of the mountain from the restaurant (slightly misleading name) but it’s visible from the parking lot and the window in the store.
Service 5/5: Spoke with Sarah the new owner and she said they just purchased the place a week ago. They are doing a great job of running the place. Teresa the cook was super friendly and accommodating to requested for meat/veggy options.
Overall, a nice stop on the way to or from Devil’s Tower. I recommend stopping there.

Great food! The waitress was able tk make a normal adult plate, the fish and chips, into a kids plate, and she brought the babies food out first without me asking. I love the family friendliness we found here!

We stopped here after our visit to the tower. It doesn’t look like much on the outside, but it’s great on the inside. Our waiter, Jonah, was kind, prompt, and, gave us great recommendations. He answered all of our stupid questions and made great conversation. The food was outstanding, the Bison burger was one of the best that I’ve had, my friend said she did not regret trying her bison burger for the first time. My other friend very much enjoyed her fish and chips. I also highly recommend the lemon huckleberry cheese cake. Best I’ve ever had.

She ordered the bacon cheeseburger and I had the bison burger + cheese.. without exaggeration these were some of the best burgers we have had – cooked perfectly with toppings on the side even, so you can custom assemble or add condiments. The strawberry rhubarb pie – specifically the crust – was also delicious.. HIGHLY recommended for great burgers..!
