The atmosphere is awesome, the drinks are so delicious, and fun. So many specialty drink choices that are unique to this establishment.
My wife and I tried the hot specialty mixed drink with Brownie batter, 5yr rum, cinnamon and toasted marshmallows on top, and it was perfect after walking 11 minutes from our Airbnb in what felt like 4°F outside. Highly recommend trying it out.

My husband and I rented out the bar for our wedding after party in October 2025 and we couldn’t have imagined a better way to end the night!

We stumbled into Devil Takes A Holiday on a visit to Burlington last summer, and were immediately blown away by their cocktails. They’re truly one of a kind and indescribable. Fast forward to planning our wedding some months later, my husband and I asked several of our other vendors for recommendations for an after party location (since we’re not from the area), and so many of them said no where would beat DTAH and working with Taylor, the owner/manager. This basically solidified our decision and we spent little time on other options.

Though we booked several months in advance, Taylor was super communicative throughout and made every accommodation we asked for feel easy. The biggest of all was setting up an instant ramen bar as a late-night snack for our guests – we provided the ramen, but we were so pleasantly surprised upon arrival to see that DTAH had also set out several toppings such as soft-boiled eggs, corn, scallions, and crispy onion! Truly above and beyond.

But most of all, we were just so excited to share their cocktails that we had been gushing to everyone about for so long. We had around 60-70 guests make it to the after, and DTAH kept their entire menu available to us (no easy feat, but they handled it so seamlessly), and we kept getting comments throughout the night about how they were some of the best cocktails people had ever had.

If you’re in need of a private event space in the future, don’t look further because I genuinely think DTAH is the best option in terms of cocktails, service, and vibes in Burlington. And if you’re not, definitely stop by and make yourself a regular – we know we’d definitely be here every weekend if we could!

Very impressive creativity in this little gem of a place! The bartenders are amazing!!! The drink list is custom created several times/year and off the menu they made me an incredible chocolate peppermint martini! I’ll be back for sure!

Out first time eating here and the food and drinks were amazing, they have indoor and outdoor seating, the environment is nice and cozy. The service was excellent and very friendly. Our favorite were the veggie nuggets with chilli garlic sauce, amazing food!

Out of towner looking for local twist, and this place delivers. Interesting theme throughout, great drinks – and really appreciate the thoughtful responses of the staff when I asked for recommendations or substitutions. Even recommended cheaper options a couple times. Highly recommend the deviled eggs and the Greek fries are righteous.

This is my all-time favorite spot in Burlington, I always bring friends and family here. It’s a little on the pricier side, but totally worth it (literally best cocktails I’ve ever had). The staff/space is amazing, super friendly and accommodating. They do a great job sourcing things locally (even the art on display). The atmosphere is perfect for a cozy, intimate time, but it can get pretty busy late on weekends. If you’re coming with a larger group, I’d recommend getting there early. They do have 1-2 bigger tables/areas. Definitely a must-visit if you’re in town! ❤️❤️❤️

Devil Takes a Holiday is by far the best cocktail bar around. I have worked in restaurants and bars my whole life and have never seen the creativity, passion and drive that the team at Devil Takes a Holiday has. The cocktails are so out of the box and absolutely delicious. My partner and I take a few trips to Burlington every year and this bar is a must visit every time. We visited about a week and a half ago and to my surprise, by boyfriend (now Fiancé) proposed to me at the lake and decided to plan a little surprise at the Devil immediately following. My Fiancé worked with Taylor ahead of time and had the cutest little set up at the bar. The Devil Takes a Holiday played a big part in one of the best days of our lives. Sincerely, thank you so much for taking the time and effort to make our day so special. See you in September for our next Burlington visit!

Cheers,
Laurie and Ed

Just a fun wine/cocktail bar. You could have told me this place was in mile end or the plateau in Montreal I would have believed you.
Great wine list, with a bunch of interesting, out of the box choices, with natural wines or unusual grape varieties or strange country/state of origin.
We were hooked on the house lambrusco, and stopped here twice in two nights. Friendly, helpful service.
No food on premises, but you can order flatbreads from next door.
Prices are a bit upscale, but for the eclectic styles it’s worth it if you’re into wine. But if you’re not, the cocktails looked good, and they have a few craft beer taps and a few bottles/cans.
Ambiance is sophisticated but fun. We had a great time here. Definitely a good first date kind of place.

I absolutely adored this place. Its atmosphere is everything you want in a fun and swanky bar. The music that was being played was 10/10 and the drinks were delicious! Definitely a must do when in Burlington!

Extensive menu and lots of varieties! Drinks are on a smaller side, but it’s for sipping and enjoying the drink itself. Got the Cafe Pa’lante and Bananas – both were yummy! Cool ambiance and play very good music.
