Overall this is a solid option for a Chicago style garden dog!

Came here during our trip from out of town. Came as a party of two and went around 11 am craving a Chicago dog! We had Portillo’s the day before and was left feeling a bit underwhelmed there so was looking forward to this spot.

* Chicago Dog with Fries: they add a small side of fries separately and you just add it yourself. Overall I really enjoyed it! Tasty, refreshing and bright! Fries added a nice texture to it. Wish the bun was a poppy seed one though.

* Bucket of fries: while good with the dog, by itself while it was fresh cut fries expected it to be better. It wasn’t super flavorful and needed more seasoning but even then I felt like the fries at Al’s is WAY better. Something was just missing.

Overall I would come back for the dog but I love fries so I wish it was better!

The best chilli cheese dog in Chicago! Ordered the Coney Dog (no onions or mustard) and a bag of fries! The chillidog was off the chain (do people still say that?) . Eveything about it was perfect, the bun, the beef hotdog and chili and the shredded cheese. The flavor of the chili was top notch. Dined out on a sidewalk table where weather was perfect and enjoyed some Gold Coast people watching. The staff was very friendly, attentive and efficient. The small area where you place your order at the counter was a vibe! You have to give the Devil Dawg a try!

Was craving a Chicago dog while in the Magnificient Mile area, and found this gem! We got the Chicago Dog and the Big Chicago Dawg. I personally liked the smaller Chicago Dog better cuz it was easier to eat and the ratio of the hot dog to bread was perfect. But both were great and I’d recommend. We ordered inside and ate it outside. Super quick snack that was so satisfying.

Italian beef sandwich with fries. There was very little meat in the sandwich compared to sandwiches at other places. You have to pay extra for sweet peppers with the sandwich. The fries were small, thin, and burnt. They looked like they had been reheated in hot oil. The sandwich itself was quite tasty, unlike the fries. I paid over $20 for the sandwich, extra sweet peppers, fries, and a can of Coca-Cola.

Quick service! Numerous selections to choose from. I tried their Chicago dog and Italian beef, it was OK. The Italian beef needed more flavor, it tasted like boiled meat.

Fresh cut fries will forever catch my attention and these were perfect! Fries were fresh, Chicago Dog was good, but not the best.
You order at a kiosk and wait for your number to be called. There’s no inside dining, but you can eat outside on the patio if you can find a spot.
Would definitely return for other items. The chicken tenders seemed popular as well. Oh they have milkshakes as well!
Go check them out

Had Chicago Style Hotdogs and fries. Price is reasonable. You order and then in 5-7 minutes collect it and seat outside under the umbrella. I liked the hotdog as it didn’t have lot of sauce like other places. The service is super fast and cordial. The only thing is that the passerby were too close and they kept staring at who is eating what. It was a bit uncomfortable for me. Other than everything is really nice. Will take my hot dog from there and eat somewhere else next time.

My first ever Chicago Dog and it didn’t disappoint. Nice little joint that has character. The food came out quickly and the milkshake was excellent.

The hotel dogs were really good! The cheese curds are decent too. The cashier was very nice. There is barely any space to eat inside and none outside, and very crammed but of course that’s expected to happen sometimes here.

Went here as part of our girls trip for a classic Chicago dawg. I swear I didn’t add ketchup! The dog was good, I loved the sport peppers and whole pickle spear. Got some fries, and they were hot and crispy. Inside space is limited, but there are a few extra tables outside. We went on a Sunday afternoon and it wasn’t too busy. Food came out really quickly. As we ate outside in the biting wind, it felt like a true Chicago experience. It was an easy walk for us from the magnificent mile, then another quick walk to the L to get to the Art Institute. If you’re close by and hungry it’s definitely a good stop.
