Reviews
Not a big dessert person but really like their souffles when they’re baked properly although we have had some that were too soupy to eat. We like the tasting menus that add more variety to the main menu. Recently, the mocktails have been upscaled and improved in a good way with more interesting spices.
The atmosphere is relaxed and quiet so we can actually have conversations. The staff is friendly and efficient. We really enjoy our dining experiences here.
9-Hour French Onion Soup: this was also not as good as i expected. not a lot of cheese and it also wasn’t really melted either
Crispy Duck Confit: the duck was fine. the brussel sprouts were actually the best part of this dish, though
Duck Breast: this was really nothing special. it wasnt tender or anything and seemed a bit overcooked
Duet of Prime Beef: the steak tartare and parmesan chips were easily the best part of the meal. the carpaccio was okay
Wine selection is endless.
You are very well taken care of at Deuxave.
The kitchen demonstrates clear command of classical foundations while leaning modern in composition. Sauces are refined, proteins are properly cooked, and plates arrive visually composed without excess. Flavors are balanced and controlled, favoring elegance over drama. While the menu rarely surprises, it rarely falters; the experience is defined by competence and cohesion rather than risk-taking.
Service is professional and well-drilled. Pacing is smooth, explanations are measured, and the dining room operates with visible structure. At times, the service cadence can feel formal rather than fluid, but it reliably supports the meal and maintains the restaurant’s polished tone.
The room reinforces the experience. The space is handsome, comfortable, and clearly designed for occasion dining. Lighting and layout promote conversation, and the overall atmosphere feels composed and intentional—an asset for celebratory meals and business dinners alike.
Verdict:
Deuxave earns its four stars through technical proficiency and consistency. It may not redefine modern French dining, but it delivers a refined, dependable experience that rewards guests seeking elegance, structure, and quiet assurance.
I’d say that you cannot go wrong – whatever you decide to order. Some of dishes we had on this occasion were the lobster gnocchi, the seared foie gras, the duck liver pate, the octopus, the duet of prime beef, the duck breast – everything is perfectly executed and it is delicious. The desserts were lovely too, my favorite being the parfait au chocolate.
Whether it is a special occasion, an elegant date night or a random impromptu visit, Deuxave is always a great choice.
TIP: if you want a more intimate setting, ask for one of their booths.
The food left us speechless, kudos to the chef and the rest of the back of the house staff for preparing a wonderful meal. We will definitely be returning soon!
