Great local Detroit style pizza shop. I’ve gone a few times and their pizza is consistently good. They have a delicious crispy crust, and sauce. Takeout is fast!

Only reason for 4 stars is I wish the crust was a little fluffier and less dense. My favorite Detroit style has been those that are a little lighter. Overall though really solid place and I will be back!

I enjoyed the crispy burnt edges and undercarriage. For Detroit style I expected it to be thicker. It tasted more like cheesy bread sticks. Is this a must drive to… no. Sauce was ok. The dough wasn’t airy. I have a feeling that the pepperoni pizza would be better than the plain cheese. 2 pizzas $38.25 w/tax.

This is NOT true Detroit style pizza. I grew up in the metro Detroit area and recently moved to MA. I was so excited to find this place but was thoroughly disappointed. Detroit style pizza does not have sauce on top of the cheese. Its crust is crispy but not caramelized and the pepperoni is not burnt. If you want to advertise that you make Detroit style pizza please do it right. Refer to Jet’s pizza for the real thing.

Really excellent pizza. Ricotta tasted great and fresh. Crispy edges. Exactly what you want with this style. Kind of pricey but worth it

Take out spot. I’ve had a slice there a couple times and gotten full pies from ‘em multiple times.
I lived in Ann Arbor (Detroit suburb) for many years and can say with great confidence, this place gets it. Great flavor, great crust, travels well. Hands down 10/10 Detroit style pie.

I’ve had Loui’s pizza in Detroit and this was just as hype without the one hour wait. If anything it’s slightly less heavy than Loui’s which is probably a good thing The signature fluffy salty crispy gooey goodness with the signature craggly bits on the crust were all there. Not just a “focaccia wanna be pizza” and not a dense Chicago deep dish and def not just a pizza cut in a rectangle. The sausage was chunky and savory and the ricotta generous on the “Forget About It” pizza. Couldn’t get a good pic bc I was too busy putting it in my mouth so glad legit Detroit Pizza is in the Boston area now!!!!

The reviews are all true: the sauce is delicious, the slices are very filling (2 felt like enough for me, and there are 8 in a box), and the crispy cheese edges are perfection. We tried the Little Italy (chicken parm) and a sausage pizza, and I was so impressed by the flavor of the sausage. I’m still talking about it days later-it’s very well flavored. The dough is light, which allows the toppings to shine. My friends and I were already talking about when we would go back before we were finished despite still having half a box of leftovers. It’s really that good.

I have to admit that I was skeptical of this place when they first opened. I’m a big pizza fan but also very critical of a good pie. I thought the cost was a bit pricey, even for Boston. I have never been so happy to be wrong-it’s delicious and worth every penny. I feel so lucky to have this place in Brighton-who knew we needed Detroit Style pizza in Boston?

I live a long way from this store, but one night I paid an Uber to deliver the pizza in the photos. I don’t know how else to tell you, but this was the most delicious food I have ever eaten. It was like Heaven in a box. I couldn’t believe how tasty it was. Just thinking about how good it was makes me want to order another one. This store is open late and this particular pizza was thick pan, with a decadent selection of cheese, pineapple slices, perfectly cooked chunks of high quality bacon, topped with a nice drizzle of hot honey. It was like when Guy Fieri says flavor town. Just an explosion of magnificent flavors. God bless the person who made this pie. They deserve a big raise lol I couldn’t recommend this place more; this is the best pizza I’ve eaten in 46 years!

Detroit Pizza Company in Brighton’s Oak Square is a welcome addition to the pizza offerings in the Boston area. While designed for takeout, there is a tiny seating area. The prices are reasonable and competitive. The pizza was delicious, and we also had a tasty and healthful Greek salad to balance out the meal.
The staff is hardworking and efficient at getting orders out quickly.
The place serves Detroit-style pizza, which has been around for decades but has taken off nationwide in the last decade. From what I could divine, the deep-dish style pizza’s toppings are placed on the pizza after the baking, and it is a fresh, welcome alternative to the usual pizza styles at the chain places.

Most of the orders are take-out, and the place is perched across from historic Oak Square in the Brighton neighborhood section of Boston fairly close to the Newton line.
