Not only you should support this place because it’s a local bakery that has real fresh break bread and amazing croissants, etc.

Tried several of the croissants and cinnamon breads as well as a small quiche. All of it was very good!! Also got some of the breads to go and everything was very fresh and looked amazing! The shop was very clean and inviting and the owner was very friendly! Definitely would recommend for any coffee or bakery needs. You can also order larger items to go ahead of time such as loaves or bread or large quiches.

My first time here and it’s fantastic. Great variety of pastries, croissants, quiches, and breads. Charming atmosphere. Reminded of coffee shops/bakeries in New England. Very friendly staff. I had the sticky bun, the chocolate/almond croissant, and a drip coffee. Everything was sooo good. Plenty of parking. Six tables inside and a couple of picnic benches outside. I’ll definitely be back! Went back and had a strawberry/cream cheese croissant and took home a cinnamon bun with cream cheese frosting. Both were delicious. I’ve been back many times. My only complaint, especially if you’re going to sit there for awhile, the bell on the door is one of the most annoying things ever.

I always look forward to visiting this mom&pop style cafe. Always an abundance of great treats here. I highly recommend the lemon poppyseed loaf & monkey bread. The day-old is half price if they’ve got it.
The owner is an incredible French woman – she knows her croissants which are the star of the front display everyday as well.

Great little bakery for bread, quiche and pastries. The Peach Thing pastry is one of the best things I’ve had in a long time and the latte was excellent paired with it. Other pastries looked good too. The breads here are outstanding.

Service was very good – friendly, helpful and quick. The space is welcoming and comfortable. There was a steady stream of customers while I was there.

Though busy, parking spaces were available.

Simply the best bakery in colorado!! They’re always so friendly, always consistent and high quality matched only with low prices.

The only potential downside is the location, but they’re delicious enough to justify a 15 minute “detour” on my way to work for them.

Honestly, these pastries are so good. I went last week and had to come back for a second week in a row. There is a lot of places in Denver that do croissants, but this is exceptional from the quality of butter used in the dough to the overall layers in the croissants to the flavor combos everything is divine. I have tried most of the combinations of croissant, including raspberry, strawberry and cherry, as well as the Nutella croissant, and all of them are baked immaculately. Also the savory with ham, yummm! The vibes and people are so kind and just genuinely happy to be there doing what they’re doing! Can’t wait to be back!

Such a lovely little hole-in-the-wall cafe! The smells were so delicious and the pastries looked even better. Such a large selection of goodies to choose from. I got a strawberry cream cheese croissant and it was one of the softest and fluffiest croissants I’ve had in Denver, period. The latte was very good and oat milk is available (yay!). Would definitely recommend to a friend, especially if you want a cute and quiet cafe to hide in.

Detour is a fabulous bakery! Legit, good quality baked goods & fresh coffee. First discovered this place around thanksgiving & all of the fresh bread was delicious. Our new go-to trusted spot. Would highly recommend. Try the parm & leek pastry!!!

So glad to have found this gem!
Mike high living is great, but finding good bread is difficult. Detour bakery has the good from delicious quiche to a baguette to go with your dinner, and a pastry for dessert, you’ll find it here.
Don’t wait to long, they can run out.
We’re having homemade meatball sandwiches on the traditional loaf.
