Desy’s Clam Restaurant in Brooklyn is an absolute gem and easily one of the best dining experiences I’ve had in New York. Their three signature red sauces—mild, medium, and spicy—are each uniquely flavorful and crafted to perfection, giving every dish a bold and memorable punch. Whether you’re in the mood for a gentle tomato sweetness or a fiery kick, there’s something for every palate. The staff and the owner are incredibly welcoming, making you feel like family the moment you walk in. The atmosphere is warm and unpretentious, and the service is genuinely top-notch.

The food here is unforgettable. The shrimp, chicken, and eggplant Parmigiana are all tender, perfectly breaded, and smothered in that amazing red sauce and melty cheese. The cheesy garlic bread is a must—crisp on the outside, soft on the inside, and loaded with rich, garlicky goodness. Their meatballs are incredibly tender, savory, and clearly made with care. And to top it all off, Desy’s serves what I’m convinced is the best cannoli in New York City: crisp shells, creamy filling, just the right touch of sweetness. I have probably been here 70 times and even had my engagement party here! this place is a Brooklyn treasure.

I love clams and seafood. This restaurant is in walking distance to my apartment and I was curious if the food was good or not. Overall, I like the food and drink. Sangria is on the lighter side, baked clams is good, Scungilli is my dish and I like it. I didn’t see much of Italian place that has this dish on the menu even it suppose to be a regular dish in Italian restaurant. It was easy Sunday and I walked in with out reservations.

Going to Desy’s clam (old Little Charlie’s) was one of the most nostalgic parts of our trip. I used to eat their chicken parm hero sandwich all the time. 13 years later I got to experience it again. Great food and service!

I nearly lost my mind after waiting an hour for food to be served. I was so mad I wasnt hungry anymore, just wanted my food to take home. As for the service, it was too slow for my mental and it wasnt packed. I felt like the manager or whoever he was gave more attention to other customers and not my table and I would hope it wasnt because we were black but idk. The man didnt even look me in the face after taking my payment smh. I feel like the waiters were trying to do their job and were nice but for some reason kept getting scolded by the manager and you can tell they started to act/become nervous and shaky. I dont understand why he was acting this way to them. The food was ok, the marinara sauce tho smh taste like its been sitting out all day. The clams were great and the lamb chops were good but I have had better. My experience was a hard miss. Someone need to tell that manager to be nice to the waiters, the waiters was the best experience that night for me because they were trying to do their best. Oh yea, and $36 gratuity for 2 ppl was wild lol smh

Came for the first time tonight for a date night with my girlfriend we were pleasantly surprised between the selection decor and atmosphere. We started with garlic bread and muscles fra diavols, which were so good together. Then had the dingilli (conch) and calamari with hot sauce and shrimp scampi w linguini which were all very good

Absolutely love this place you feel at home here. There’s a lot of space, the staff is really friendly. The food is delicious. They even gave us a complimentary shot of port at the end.

Happy to say I scarfed everything down. It’s such an unassuming neighborhood restaurant but the meal was amazing. The mussels, combo calamari and scungili, and the linguini shrimp scampi were like fireworks in my mouth. They gave us some hot sauce that was also really really good- we literally mixed it with everything. The caesar salad was not to our liking unfortunately- the dressing was too sweet and thick.

The decor is very mundane but I think that’s part of the charm. A great family restaurant, I definitely recommend trying it out!!

As a pescatarian who loves my cooked vegetables, it’s hard to find Italian places that serve pasta with a good amount of vegetables within the dish. This place actually puts a generous amount of vegetables in their pastas – and thank you! The broccoli rabe pasta is delicious~

Yeah this place slaps. The value is primo. I don’t think any of the entrees are more than $20. BYOB is chefs kiss . There’s a weird 300 piece puzzle framed in the bathroom. The framing prob costed $300 and the puzzle is missing one piece. The puzzle is of a bald eagle in the Forrest. I wana know why there’s a fancy framed incomplete puzzle in the bathroom. Chicken parm was chicken Poppin ️ ️ ️ and that’s on gang. Thanks Desy

Reminders of La Lunitas on Knickerbocker Ave, in Brooklyn.
Quiet romantic ambient place. Sangria was good and so was the food . We went for Valentine’s Day 2024. Chicken Parm over ziti. And Steak. Mash and broccoli. And a whiskey toast. Clean bathrooms if your in need. Reasonable prices. For 4 with drinks was under 150. Awesome, welcome at the door.
We love it . We will be back soon.
