My friend who’s been there plenty of times took me to this place and despite the low reviews, I trusted my friend’s judgment and came away feeling quite impressed with the Hmong food they had. Loved all my dishes including the fried tilapia with tomatoes. Definitely enjoyed it

THIS IS A REAL REVIEW (the OG knows this) unlike some haters, karens, and bot review. I’ve been going to this restaurant for over a decade easilyyyy!! I went when they first open and ate at their old location too by university iykyk! This is a spot that usually only the og, or regular goers who been going to this spot knows!
Food here is actually good and decent (just gotta know what to order). Of course, some locals here are “experts,” picky, and elitists, so can’t appeal to everyone.
I LOVE THEIR PHO HERE! Ofc it’s not for everyone! The broth is different from most places here and taste more light and simple like water ish. But I LOVE IT! We love the pho here because of the portion size! To me 10/10…for the average person maybe 6-7/10 🙂
They give you so much meat, noodles, and variation to your Pho that you can’t complain (gotta order the combination P2 or the right one). Perfect for hangover or if you’re in a mood for a LOT of Pho. They don’t discriminate when it comes to portion size unlike most/some pho places here smh.
Chicken wings are great (7-8/10), springrolls are good (7-8/10), eggrolls good (7-8/10) , the P11 sweet Kowpoon is a sleeper – taste very good and big size (not spicy for me but for some they think it’s a little spicy) (8/10), Pork belly good (7/10), LAAB is good!!! One of the locals and OG’s favorites, Fried Shrimp good (7/10) , and the Papaya Salad is actually pretty good too (8/10).
Ofc…sometimes can be a hit or miss depending on the day or whoever is working. Ik there were complains of bad customer service a few years ago but I never had a experience here!!..maybe they were just a bad/karen customer too. However, customer service has vastly improved and those bad employees are gone anyways.
Give it a shot! Won’t hurt to try something new and different. To me – this a TOP 10 best Asian restaurant of all time for a personal bias yo favorite quick bite list!!! Great go-to place for a quick bite or outing with family or mid size group.

10/21/23… lunch time.. food was good and service wasn’t bad either. Don’t recommend the spring roll sauce.. it was kind of salty, but ate it anyways. Will Recommend everything we ate pictured with this post. Portions were good as well. Worth the price.

Our server and the greeter were friendly. Their beef laab is legit. Large portions. Beef brisket was 6/10. Hmong sausage was my least favorite. That porky flavor and smell was a bit much for me. Overall experience was okay and will visit again if craving Hmong food when in that area.

Food is good, but the service is a hit or a miss on certain days. Front desk never seem to be doing their job and never pick up phone calls. I’ve called numerous times for catering purposes, but never once someone answer my calls. Just for me to walk in and someone would be at the front, but ignores phone calls and be on their phones or talk their coworkers. I gave this place many chances, but it just keeps getting worse and worse over the years. As much as I enjoy your food. Your services here isn’t there. You’ve lost a loyal customer of 10+ years. Very disappointed!

It has been years since my wife and I have dined in at DC2. The hype after its first opening seems to have died down. Usually when asked about DC2’s food, folks seem to have mixed reviews. So because we were around in the area yesterday, we decided to give it a try to see what has changed.
The menu seems about the same, with a few less items. The biggest change is the prices, which definitely is dollars more than it use to. Understanding with economy/inflation, pricing up is eventually going to happen. But is it worth really spending about $5-$10 on dishes where you can go a few blocks over to Hmong Village for cheaper?
We ordered the combination pad thai (big noodles), papaya salad (Thai med spicy), and hli xiab (fried pork with tamarind sauce). I was always a big fan of the pad thai sauce from DC2, which seems to be the same as I remember it. However, the noodles are a bit thicker, like chow fun noodles. It was soft, feels homemade, and paired very well with the sauce & meats. The papaya salad was not overly sauced, and tasted very fresh. It had just the right amount of spiciness, sweetness, and sourness for both my wife and I. The hli xiab was a dish we have not tried before, and did very much enjoy. You pick a choice of meat which is stir fried with a sweet tamarind sauce accompanied with bell peppers and onions. There is an option to add spiciness, which we did do. We chose pork which was first fried, then cooked with the sauce and veggies. If you love sweet like in orange chicken, then this is the dish for you!
The service was great, much better then I remember it. We were seated immediately, and the waiter was attentive. They also have a call system button now which you can click to ask for something or add things too.
Overall, I was very impressed with DC2 and will come again. To go back on my question, I would rather spend few more dollars here then go to Hmong Village.

our server was nice and came to ask us if anything was okay every now and then. back then when I ordered the pad Thai, it was actually really good but the downfall was that the pad Thai we ordered was a little burnt and didn’t have much flavor. the beef brisket seemed like it has been sitting and it came out cold. the meat was also chewy. the spring rolls weren’t that great, all I tasted was the carrots. don’t know if I would come here again.

I came here with a big group (party of 20). Service was very slow with the server and the kitchen (we came in at 2 pm, so we missed the lunch rush hour and it wasn’t even busy in there). The dishes came out REAL late for 2 different people in our party. Wrong size order for another person. Food was okay. Nothing to really rave about. My sister and I both ordered padthai, she had the skinny noodles and I had the big noodles. How is it that both our dishes tasted different?? My padthai dish tasted better than hers. My boyfriend ordered Shrimp fried rice. He said the shrimp tasted like it was frozen shrimp. He didn’t finish his plate, which shows that he did not like the food.
Suggestions for improvement: As a former server, there shouldn’t be only 1 server to attend to a large party. Add at least 2-3 servers for larger parties. Also, our server was very timid and seemed untrained. Probably should train your staff on providing exceptional customer service. The kitchen should coordinate on food delivery. It was awkward that half the table had food, while the other half was still waiting. And then 2 of our friends didn’t get their food til we were almost done eating. If there was a screw up, the server should have communicated that.

Best Hmong food! I don’t go anywhere else! Very affordable and the portions are big! My husband and I come here often. Don’t feel weird if you’re not hmong, they are very welcoming
