We rarely visit the same restaurant twice on a trip but Dessi Tadka in Munich made us come back the very next day.
The reason? Their Mutton Home Curry and Chicken Tikka Masala.
The mutton home curry tasted exactly like something straight out of an Indian home kitchen slow-cooked and incredibly comforting. The kind of dish that reminds you of home with every bite. The chicken tikka masala was creamy yet spicy without being heavy, and packed with authentic flavor, if you love spicy this is a good option.
What truly elevated the experience was the warm hospitality of Ali bhai. His service, attention, and genuine care made us feel less like customers and more like guests.

Everything about this restaurant was incredible, the food, the service, the atmosphere, it smells incredible too and immediately made me hungry. We had chicken vindaloo (will order again – amazing) and a big mixed vegetable bowl, as well as two portions of garlic naan. The food also arrived almost immediately, which is great since we were really hungry. The prices are reasonable as well! I will definitely be coming back here and recommend everyone tries it 🙂

Their pani pouri and samosa chat are great, and they serve up decent dosai as well though I find Saravanaa Bhavan’s better (then again this is really a southern Indian dish). The mains are more a mixed bag. The classic butter chicken is decent but their briyani and tandoori cashew chicken is pretty average

My favourite go to Indian restaurant on Sendling/Obersendling. The Onion Dosa was as it should be, as I would have it in Chennai, the “Charsi Tiger Chicken” absolutely outstanding, the team super friendly and going beyond… We are definitely coming here more often for the food quality, warmth and super service.
