Staff was really friendly! I got a hot chocolate with marshmallow on top and it was seriously some of the best cocoa I’ve had. Also the way they burned the marshmallow onto the top was gorgeous. This is one of my favorite spots to write, and would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a sweet treat and comforting ambiance.

Best coffee shop downtown. Overpriced like the rest but the lovely service, atmosphere, and quality make it well worth it. I can no longer have coffee which makes cafes tricky but I have fallen in love with their Kerouac. Genuinely like one is sipping liquid heaven, perfect for an occasional splurge to treat myself!

Great spot for high quality coffee in the Detroit area! Have only visited this location thus far, but was very happy with the single origin pour over and the oat milk latte my wife got was fantastic. Food is great, too — highly recommend the pastries. Ambiance is hip and inviting and the service is fantastic. Highly recommend!

Good ambience for the winter evening.

During holiday period, cold weather, historic famous lights – all you need is the coffee, and this place suits well for the mood.

Light live music is a value add, to enhance the holiday spirit.

Food wise – Cakes are good.
Coffee is average – as it’s not hot at all.
It’s pricey though.

Service is decent as well.

First time in today. And it was a beautiful place. They need mire seating because it was full. I can see myself coming back here more. My cappuccino was delicious and beautiful upon presentation, the staff was courteous and helpful with making menu choices. Really chill vibe

Suspiria. Pretty cool place with mostly friendly staff. Drinks are good, not great, and overpriced.

Edit update: upon my return visit, I ordered a hot mocha. A combination of The Versailles and Dark Chocolate . They may have just given me dark chocolate because that’s really all I tasted, but none the less, it was delicious.
I also have to add that my service was wonderful! That right there is what makes all the difference. Day and night from my first experience, and that is why I almost always give any establishment a return visit, and never judge a book by its cover.

Love the darker toned atmosphere compared to the whitewashed cafes nearby, but remember this is a personal preference.

Lots of space, and welcoming touches.

Cafe is fantastic and I’m looking forward to trying more food!

Coffee is always great in here! Interior is cool! There is a stage so you can get lucky to see a band performing or someone reading poetry. Staff is nice and friendly. They also have a very delicious chai latte. Some secret ingredient, that tastes like michigan cherry makes it very delicious. Not sure if that was a seasonal thing, because lately it didn’t taste the same. Overall a great place!

Among the three Dessert Oasis Coffee Roasters (the other two are in downtown Rochester and downtown Detroit), this one is by far the nicest and newest one.

I saw that they had crepes on the menu, and I had to try it. I ordered The Classic Crepe which came stuffed with strawberries, bananas, and vanilla ice cream. It was a good but messy combination. I did not like the choice of placement on a much smaller plate than what it should have been. The crepe was huge, and I liked the size of it. But the fact that it is on a plate that is smaller is where I was confused; it should not be hanging over the plate. The coffee shop should consider utilizing a more appropriately sized plate for their crepes.

I enjoyed the Honey Cinnamon Latte; however, the honey flavoring was subtle. The cinnamon flavoring was by far the predominant one of the two flavors.

Awesome Cafe!!! Went on a Sunday and it was very quiet, peaceful. Good latte options, with various pastries. Friendly service too.
