This restaurant is a great place to come for dinner. I wish they were open for lunch!. Grab yourself a margarita and relax! This is a completely comfortable atmosphere and some delicious American Mexican food. From the warm chips and salsa to your main dish…you will be happy you came to Desperados, Williamstown.

We’ve eaten here a few times now and today the service was terrible. The food was great as always. The owner(?) was tending bar and having a loud conversation with some customers (friends possibly) and stated he and I assume his wife got sick the day they returned from Vegas. He proceeded to cough, then go full up a chip bowl WITHOUT WASHING HIS HANDS. No gloves in sight. So yeah. Our server was terrible. Took our drink order and didn’t come back for at least 10-15 minutes. We got asked if someone came by twice. We flagged another server down to get water while we waited. Finally got drinks and ordered our food. Brought appetizer and forgot condiments. She came by 15 minutes later and I had to remind her. Finally got the rest of our food. The young lady wiping down tables was checking on us and getting things since our server was nowhere to be found.

It was a quaint restaurant with a fun yet adult atmosphere. The walls have nice murals with a few mexican pieces here and there.
The bar are is nice with a large tv. I think it would be a great place to stop in for a drink.
We went on a Tuesday. They offered a special including all you can eat tacos, burritos and something else. That was really nice! More food than I could eat but great for someone else.
I was disappointed that they don’t serve a classic food of flautas or taquitos. Also no fried ice cream unless it’s summer.
My mom and I were there for a little something. We were hoping to share some flautas. No big deal.
Unfortunately I found their prices a little high. $14.95 for a quesadilla seems like a lot.
We ended up getting coconut shrimp and their crispy tortilla with cheese. Both were delicious!
The gentleman that was serving us was very welcoming and kind. He always smiled and made us feel right at home. We had great service from him. He was also helpful finding things that weren’t hot for my mom. He clearly enjoys being there and making people happy. That was truly a pleasure.
There was a short haired woman working there that didn’t exude the same vibe! I’m trying to find a nice way of saying, she just felt a bit cold. We sat next to where she was. As she passed us several times, (in a smallish space) she never acknowledged us, said a kind word or so much as smiled at my mom or me. We felt a bit uncomfortable for some reason.
All in all, I’d like to go again If we can have the welcoming feeling.

A good Mexican restaurant for being all the way over in the East coast. My enchilada was full oh tasty pork. And the chicken wings are good too. But the house margaritas were great.

Fairly certain our waitress forgot about us. Waited almost a full hour for our food, which were two very simple and common items. She was seen chatting very loudly with others at the bar, until we asked about our food and she said they were busy with take out orders.

It took over an hour to get our meal, waitress was lackluster, food was soggy, I will never return.

Confusing food combinations; Creole rice, though tasty and well seasoned, does not pair with Mexican items. The roja enchilada sauce was good but the chicken inside that and the fundido was bland. We ordered take out on a Friday and the pick up time was quite fast, only 25 minutes. We did get the impression, coming in for the first time, that the bar is the focal point. There were about a dozen tables, but it was loud and the lighting was mostly over the bar.
