should have checked the reviews first…
had already a feeling that everything here is overpriced for no reason. The egg tarts look great but taste very mid. And that for $3 per tart?!

Desir Bakery is located inside the 99 Ranch Market. When you enter, just head to the left and you’ll find it there. They have a decent selection of baked goods, including both sweet desserts and savory appetizers. They even offer drinks! I tried their mango cake once and it was tasty. As for the prices, they’re pretty reasonable too. If you drop by in the evening, they often have special discounts. But hey, here’s a heads up: make sure you finish or freeze their baked goods fast, ’cause they tend to get moldy if you don’t.

Driest and most pathetic garbage pasteries and cake you’ll ever eat.
The ownership is misleading and borderline fraud as they put up signs saying their bread is all natural with no preservatives and the label has worse ingredients than HEB bread

Tried the sandwich here for $2.49. It was soggy (I’m not sure how!?), didn’t taste fresh, and definitely overpriced – I wouldn’t recommend.

I love this place so much more than 85 degrees bakery. Their prices are better and the breads are fresher. The staff is not the friendliest but it’s always a quick visit. Get what I need and I roll out.

Solid pastries and boba drinks from what we’ve tried so far. Similar to the Asian gourmet kitchen here, the food may not be particularly outstanding or unique but they are still tasty and worth getting, especially for the competitive price. Matcha latte is ok and the Assam black milk tea is great. Service was fine, just don’t expect to be doted upon.

The coconut milk bread is some real tasty stuff! Every time we go to 99 Ranch we pick up a loaf of it and finish it in the way home. I also like a number of their other items they make, especially the cheesy ones. The only reason I didn’t give a 5 star review is their staff has never been friendly or polite at all. They act like you’re in their way and watch out if you ask a question b/c they’re going to answer you like you’re bothering them.

Had tried some bread from here and liked them before so this time wanted to try a couple pieces of cake (vanilla cream and chocolate cream). Taste was fine but the cake was not moist. It was not very expensive but it also was not very satisfying. Was hoping for something better.

Ok I really don’t want to do this because we loved the cake there before. But not this time. Went there yesterday and bought this bread, you can see there are mold in it. I understand you don’t want to waste food, but you should never sell spoiled food to people!

Desir Bakery is located inside 99 Ranch Market. It has the same “help yourself” concept as 85C Bakery’s chain: you get a tray at the front, grab the bread(s) or pastries that you like, put them to all to your tray, and pay at the counter. It’s a small store but offers a lot of tasty breads and pastries. My personal favorites are their egg tarts and cheesecake! They taste so delicious! I highly recommend them! They also have here the Pan de Sal (a.k.a. pandesal) or Filipino Bread Rolls, the most common bread in the Philippines, normally eaten at breakfast or in the afternoon as a snack. Their one bag of ‘Pan de Sal’ contains 12pcs of breads and cost $2.75.

I thought that since 85C Bakery opens up just outside the 99 Ranch Market, the customers of Desir Bakery would stop going here, but nope, a lot of people still buys their bread here. They have special deals every now and then on their breads or pastries. Their prices are reasonable, but nothing beats their BOGO (buy one, get one) free deal that starts at 7PM until closing time. I haven’t really visited this place that late nowadays, so I’m not sure if they still offer the BOGO free deal, though :-/
