One of my favorite dessert spots in valpo! So cute inside & such a fun experience popping in. I have always loved the sugar bomb cookies, the creme brûlée cupcake, as well as the golden Oreo which might be my new favorite. You can’t go wrong with any flavor! There are endless options. I have been coming here for so many years and I still come by every time I visit home!

*cake topper was on us, the original didn’t come on time.* It didn’t matter because the cake itself was beautiful. Everyone said it was delicious. We ordered chocolate with the chocolate mousse. Very reasonably priced. I will definitely order from them again.

have tried about over 6 flavors of their cupcakes and never disappointed! my favorite is their dark chocolate raspberry. very great flavor, quality, and decently large portions! inside the building is comfy yet beautiful and fun and the staff i’ve dealt with have always been pleasant. definitely my go to spot for birthdays when it’s time!

After dinner, we stopped in for a sweet treat.. I ordered the peanut butter cupcake .. I wasn’t satisfied with mine. It was a little dry, not moist like you would get from a cupcake .. I don’t know if it’s because we went around 4:30ish and they had been out for a while.. The blueberry tasted good all the way through.. The place is clean, bright, and decorated cute.. You can see the desserts as soon as you walk in. The ladies are very helpful..

AMAZING! Originally worked with Vanessa for my wedding cake and desserts October 2021 and had a great experience. We decided to use Designer Desserts again for our sons for birthday this past weekend with a “Wild One” theme. I didn’t really have a super specific idea of what I wanted for the cake but told Vanessa the theme and sent her pictures of the balloons we were going to have. She spoke to the baker and sent me over an idea they had. It sounded great, I’m not super picky with this kinda stuff and I trusted they would do a good job. However I did not expect the cake to be as amazing as it was. My jaw literally dropped when I saw it. Not only was it delicious (strawberry shortcake) but it was so beautiful. The theme was on point I still can’t believe how well they nailed it. They also made some themed cookies and cupcakes and we ordered a few other small bites, notably the lemon bars were amazing.
For reference, this was a 14inch cake meant to feed 65+ people. We had around 80 guests, there was more than enough for everyone and we even had leftovers to send home with people.

I recently hosted a baby shower for my daughter. The theme was S’more to Love. I ordered S’more cupcakes from Designer Desserts. From the ordering process to the pickup day, the staff was amazing. They provided take home boxes for the cupcakes which was a big hit with the ladies. Of course, the cupcakes were delicious and such a cute addition to our themed shower. Many women made a special point of photographing the dessert table.

We had them do our wedding cake and it was awesome. They did great accommodating to our theme. They are awesome to work with and no stress at all. The cakes we chose were very delicious.
We had a difficult time choosing what type of cake because all of their cakes are really good and well presented, but they helped us come to a conclusion. They have vegan options and cater to dietary restrictions which is really great.
We have been back getting cupcakes several times already whenever we visit Valpo and they never disappoint.

Meyer’s Castle
We had the pleasure of working with Designer Desserts for a beautiful wedding held at Meyer’s Castle on 05.25.2025. The cake they created for the couple was a true showstopper – an elegant green and white marble design with stunning gold accents. It served as a striking centrepiece during the reception and perfectly complemented the sophisticated aesthetic of the event. Their artistry and attention to detail were clearly evident in every element of the cake’s presentation. The delivery was timely, and their team communicated seamlessly with our venue staff throughout the setup process.
