I had been wanting to try Desi Mama Restaurant for a while and so I decided to place an order for pickup. They have 2 entrances either front (on Mayfield) or the back which is where there is a huge free parking lot. I came in the back entrance and saw a beautiful mural painted on the wall. You smell the wonderful aroma of spices and the sounds of the utensils hitting the pots and pans. My only complaint was that there was a longer than usual wait and it took about 5 mins for someone to greet me as well as an additional 15 mins wait for my food. I ordered two dishes and an appetizer. They were delicious. The lamb fried rice had a lot of flavor and the lamb was very tender. The portion was big as well. The chicken achari with white rice was flavorful and hardy. The portion was perfect. I also got the cheese filled naan bread with a side of chutney. I will be coming back to try some more dishes.

Everything we had was delicious overall. The chicken vindaloo was excellent—very flavorful, though I would’ve liked it much spicier. My wife had the chicken tikka and enjoyed it, though it wasn’t really my favorite. The samosas were fresh and tasty, and the naan was spot on.
Our total for chicken tikka, chicken vindaloo, an order of samosas, and naan came to about $46 plus tip. A bit steep, but the food quality made it worthwhile. Service was prompt, and the bathroom was extremely clean, which is always a plus.
Solid experience with strong flavors and good service. I’d go back, especially for the vindaloo.

Absolutely AMAZING!!! Ive been eating Indian food a long time, and this is by far one of the best ive ever had after eating good authentic Indian in over 10 different states…. the Chili Chicken Momo(level 10 heat) is absolutely to die for!! Next i got the Lamb Vindaloo (level 10, “how grandma used to make it”) straight up creaming my panties right now….
And we cannot forget to mention the Naan, garlic naan is PERFECT! not too dry, amazing flavor…

Great Indian spot! The food was delicious, and flavored excellently. The chicken kadai and lamb vindaloo were the perfect level of spice, and went so well with the naan. The vegetable pakora was a great appetizer too.

Very juicy and delicious momo. Well seasoned and proper spicy food available. A real authentic taste from India and Nepal found here. I highly recommend anyone loving skewers, chow min, butter chicken, vindaloo to visit this kitchen. Overall this restaurant deserves the quality food and service in this area.

The most bland Indian food I’ve ever had in my life. A whole world of spices and they didn’t use a single one? Additionally, all of the food was super dry. The tandoori chicken was so dry you could barely chew it. The garlic cheese naan had barely any of each.
Genuinely shocked by all these good reviews. I would never come back here. That may be harsh, but it’s a fair review.

The absolute best place in Cleveland for curry and our new favorite! Desi Mama serves the best Indian fares and do not forget to order an app. of momos!! After traveling through india this place serves some of the most authentic dishes we have found so far. Cannot recommend this place more!

Went here for my birthday couple days ago. The Nepali food was just delicious. Had two types of Momos, Veggie chow min, naan, curry goat, pork biryani and mango lassis. Staff was friendly, great prices. Very tasty.
