This is by far the worst ever desi restaurant in Houston. I ignored the low rating and went into to try. Everything was all over the place. The counter guy could barely speak English let alone read the order from phone screen. Gave away my “pickup order” to someone else. After battling for my food, I got this burnt biriyani. It was previous day’s food microwaved or pan heated bunch of times and the dark hard surface of the meat showed everything. Rest assured, I barely took into an account why this restaurant was a good spot for political discussion.

Pay no mind to the negative reviews here. These tend to be entitled individuals. Owner was friendly, he cooked our food hot and fresh. I had the BBQ platter and the chicken was amazing and flavorful, the garbanzo sauce is so good. All of our food was good. If looking to try something new give this place a chance.

Delicious Pakistani cuisine in a place that looks, from the outside, like a hole-in-the-wall. This was my first time eating Pakistani food, prepared Halal (similar to Jewish kosher).
The Pakistani counter person explained the menu in broken English, where most of the dishes were prepared with curry and Pakistani spices. I don’t like spicy food & asked about mild dishes. He suggested a mild mutton (lamb) and rice dish, which was delicious. It was served with a side salad of iceberg lettuce, sliced onions, a lemon wedge and a small dish of pesto and creamy dressing. My friend had the spicy chicken kabobs, and they were SPICY, even for him! He seemed to enjoy them, tho he took very small bites and drank plenty of water to handle the heat.
Service was pretty much unobtrusive, even invisible much of the time. We had the restaurant to ourselves as there were about 11 tables with 4 chairs at each one. There were 2 newsstands with the Pakistani Chronicle and a local paper. All in all a decent experience.

There should be a minimum of two counters available for taking orders. The staff responsible for taking orders are often slow and inattentive, particularly on pick time and do not respect the customers’ time.

I found this place on a whim a few months back, but it’s been my saving grace for dinner! Love, love their chicken biryani. Affordable, quick, and huge portions. As someone had mentioned below, this hole-in-the-wall place is better for take out rather than dining in.

Extremely rude owner and staff. Can barely have a conversation with them due to their dismissive attitude and complete lack of decorum. Can’t imagine how they treat your food if this is how they treat people. There are multiple desi restaurants in the Houston area that are much better, so don’t waste your time visiting desi kitchen since they seem to think that they don’t need everyone’s business anyway.
