I’m writing this review after visiting this restaurant twice, and both experiences truly impressed me.
On my most recent visit, I ordered the tandoori chicken, and it was absolutely delightful. The flavors were rich, well-balanced, and deeply authentic. Each bite reminded me of my days in India—the smoky aroma, the perfect blend of spices, and the tenderness of the chicken were all spot on. It wasn’t just tasty; it felt nostalgic and comforting. I also appreciated the presentation. The chicken was beautifully arranged on fresh cabbage leaves, which added a traditional touch and enhanced the overall dining experience.
During my previous visit, I tried the reshmi kebab, and that dish was equally delicious. The kebabs were incredibly soft, juicy, and flavorful, with a creamy marinade that was perfectly infused into the meat. You could tell that great care went into both the preparation and seasoning.
Consistency across both visits is what truly stands out to me. The quality, taste, and presentation were excellent each time. If you’re looking for authentic tandoori flavors and a satisfying dining experience, I would definitely recommend this place. I’m already looking forward to my next visit!

I will not do this review like my other reviews as this is only desi restaurant closest to my home and I have only tried 2 dishes and Chai here. So I will keep it simple as I will be definitely coming back here just because it’s convenient for me and also the place is well managed and built. But ratings might be low or high due to other parameters.
I came here after learning they are selling Mandi, Mandi is my favorite food, so I have to try it.
We ordered Lamb Mandi for me and Wifey ordered Masala Dosa.
Mandi was everything but not Mandi, so they are selling masala rice with meat on top but it’s not Mandi.
Masala dosa was good, but I have had better so it was something doable.
Also we heard good things about Jalebi and it was really good. It has a tangi kick in the end which I don’t like but it’s common in some Jalebis. Beside the fact Jalebi is worth trying.
Overall it’s not like I am not satisfied with the place but I am not super excited as well.

Desi District absolutely nailed it! The chicken mandi was flavorful, perfectly cooked, and served in generous portions. The rice was aromatic and paired beautifully with the tender chicken. On top of that, the customer service was outstanding …friendly, attentive, and welcoming. Definitely coming back!

We have ordered food here but it is just okay for the price. We ordered the bogo chicken mandi and they gave us 1 small piece of tandoori for 14 dollars per box. Paneer mandi was better had some flavors and had better piece count.

I wish I could give zero star, I just ordered veg Manchuria and it just tastes like the frozen kind we get just reheated and gave to us. The Manchuria balls are tough and the same taste as the frozen kind we get in Indian grocery. I ordered bonda and asked for one extra chutney but no they did not give. After my previous experience I thought I should never visit them but I gave a chance as this is closest to my house and this is it never going back there again. The inside of the Manchuria ball is not even cooked.

I am writing this review two weeks after the incident because I wanted to be calm and fair, but what happened at Desi District (Cumming, GA) on 12/12/2025 was unacceptable.
I ordered Murgh Malai Chicken Kabab for pickup, and when I opened the box at home, the chicken was raw and uncooked inside. This was not slightly undercooked, it was visibly raw. I immediately contacted the restaurant. Instead of issuing a refund, they insisted I come back to pick up a replacement, even though the mistake was clearly theirs. I told them I could not drive back and that they should either refund the order or deliver the replacement. After some back and forth, they agreed to deliver.
However, the replacement arrived at 11:30 PM, after the restaurant was already closed. That alone shows how poorly this situation was handled. By that time, the food was no longer needed. Worse, when we tried the replacement food, it was terrible dry, poorly cooked, and completely inedible. We ended up throwing it away.
I am extremely disappointed. I will not be ordering from this restaurant again. Food safety and customer service should be non-negotiable. Unfortunately, Desi District failed at both.

I tried their veg and chicken mandi. It’s basically some flavored rice with cashew and kissmiss with avakaya flavored gravy. This is not mandi. Also we got hair strand as a bonus in our pakoras.

Worst ever food we tasted they said Andhra chicken pulao is famous and made us wait for 1 hour the food is disaster and disgusting I curse the lady we said yes to the dish should see the lowest in her life and suffer with everything possible the chicken didn’t even boil she was so so rude. The name of the lady is Srujana K and she acted so well that as if the are really cooking the biriyani then they just heated the previous day stuff and since it is day before thanksgiving they wanted to clean up the kitchen and said buy one get one biriyani free for 19$
Basically it is the fault of owner, owner himself got scared for supplying cheap quality food and gave us a call the next day. he is so rude that he cannot accept the review and said he dont care and dont give a damn about whatever review we give.

We used Desi District in Cumming to cater a small event yesterday, and everything was awesome. We ordered veg pulao, veg Manchurian momos, onion pakoras, papdi chaat, and raita. All the food was super fresh and tasty.
The veg pulao definitely stood out—it was so flavorful and paired perfectly with the raita. The onion pakoras were nice and crispy, the momos were really good, and the papdi chaat hit the spot.
