Try special mutton Pulao, Puri Keema and Mandi. District in Concord is a great place for authentic Indian street food. The taste is close to real desi flavors, and the menu has a good variety of chaat, snacks, and quick bites. The food is fresh and well-prepared, and portions are decent for the price.

The place is usually busy, which shows how popular it is, but service is fairly quick. Staff is polite and helpful. Overall, a nice spot if you’re craving Indian street-style food in Concord.

On Feb 01, 2026, I ordered chicken tandoori, earlier 2 months before i tried Chicken tandoori and was outstanding and came with good tandoori masala all around of chickens. However, weather was good and i ordered the same, but they provided me stale food which was likely feel 2 day old food and tasteless and piece was very smaller than i ever had chicken tandoori.
Let me share the pic as well. Very disappointing experience with Desi district this time. Never order Chicken Tandoori guys.

I ordered Mandi Jucy Mutton Biryani as takeout for the first time from this restaurant (DD concord), and I was shocked to find roach cooked into the food. This is extremely disappointing. I trusted that the food would be prepared in a clean and hygienic kitchen, but this clearly shows a serious lack of hygiene in the Kitchen.

This issue requires immediate action from management, as it is completely unacceptable for any customer to encounter something like this.

I am editing my review to provide the purchase receipt from this visit for clarity.

Visited Desi District and tried their onion samosa, Irani chai, and maska bun. The samosa and chai were definitely the highlights—fresh, flavorful, and comforting, just what you’d hope for.
However, the maska bun was disappointing. It felt more like a regular pav with some cream on it rather than the rich, buttery, melt-in-your-mouth experience a true maska bun should offer.
Overall, a mixed experience: worth visiting for the samosas and chai, but I’d skip the maska bun next time.

The food was very good and tasted authentic. It had real Indian flavors and felt fresh and well cooked. I really enjoyed the meal, and especially chilli garlic chicken is my favorite. I would definitely recommend it.

I visited Desi District with my parents on September 2nd, and it was one of the most disappointing and uncomfortable experiences i’ve had at a restaurant. My parents were visiting me for the first time, and since they don’t speak English, my father asked the person at the counter, Madhavi, a simple question in our mother tongue: “How much is one dosa?”

To our shock, even though she understood and spoke the same language, she chose to reply in English while pointing at the board, saying “10 dollars.” What made this situation truly upsetting was what followed—she turned to her coworker and laughed. Standing behind my father, I could see this, and it felt disrespectful not just to him, but to us as a family.

I want to ask: do your parents speak “Native American English”? Would you be okay if someone laughed after they simply asked a question? Respect and courtesy are the basics of hospitality, and unfortunately, this experience left us feeling humiliated instead of welcomed.

Oh and the food it’s ok we felt sick the next day, Usually I don’t like to write a bad review if I experience one I will cause people should know better

I’ve always been a big fan of this restaurant’s Georgia location, so I came in with high expectations. Unfortunately, my experience at the Concord, NC location was disappointing.

First, to reuse the same plates for refills, which felt unhygienic and unusual for a buffet.
The food quality was also below average — one of the curries served with the poori had a noticeable burnt smell, and the regular chutney wasn’t even ground properly, leaving it with a gritty texture.

I really hope the management looks into improving both the quality and the overall buffet experience.

The Haleem was best in Charlotte—rich, meaty, and authentic Hyderabadi with that perfect thick texture. It even include the advertised chicken 65.
The veggie cheese sandwich was flavorful and fresh, we loved it!
Ordered curry leaves chicken at 9:50pm on a weekend—they prepare it quick despite closing soon, with great service until midnight.
This place excel in quality, taste and customer care. Highly recommend!

Highly unsafe and extremely poor-quality food.
The pulavs are drenched in so much oil that even the plastic plates almost tear apart. This level of oiliness is unhealthy and shows a complete lack of basic food hygiene. Customers can genuinely harm their health by eating food prepared like this. This place needs major improvement, and I strongly advise people to avoid ordering from here. I also attached pic and video that shows the table thru the oily plate..

Food is usually very good here, but this visit was a mixed experience. The special chicken biryani was a disappointment, while my usual favorites – mutton mandi, special chicken pulao, rumali roti, and curry leaf chicken – were all consistent and tasty as always.
My main concern is with ordering through the official Desi District website (not a third-party app). The mandi is priced higher on their own site, and even after repeatedly pointing this out in the past, it has never been fixed. On top of that, I was encouraged to use the website/app for rewards but then charged extra for ordering through that same platform, which feels unfair.

Another issue is with daily specials. None of the daily specials are available if you order through the website; I was told they only apply to in-store counter orders. I could not find any terms or conditions stating this online. So if you want to earn rewards by ordering through the Desi District website, you effectively lose access to the daily specials, which does not make sense from a customer standpoint.

If these pricing and specials limitations exist because of website maintenance or feature costs, then customers should not be pushed so hard toward using the rewards program. Personal data is being collected for marketing while website orders cost more and exclude specials, which really undermines the value of the rewards system.

I ordered the Juicy Mandi today, but the food was inedible. The chicken felt like it had been sitting out for a long time—it was hard, dry, and had a rubbery, chewy texture. It was very obvious that the meat was old and not freshly prepared. The sight of it alone was enough to turn my stomach. Total waste of money and a major disappointment.
