Incredible Flavors and Amazing Vibes!

I had an absolutely fantastic experience at Desi Dhamaka! The food was bursting with authentic flavors — every dish tasted freshly made and perfectly seasoned. The staff was friendly, attentive, and made us feel right at home. The atmosphere was lively and vibrant, making it the perfect spot for both casual dinners and special occasions.

Highly recommend the [ My Favorite butter chicken or paneer tikka]— it’s a must-try! I’ll definitely be coming back soon.

If you’re craving authentic South Indian flavors, I’ve found a hidden gem you need to check out! This spot truly celebrates the rich, bold, and aromatic taste of India — every dish feels like a trip straight to the South.
Drinks:
• Mango Rose Refresher – floral, fruity, and super refreshing.
• Mojito – a classic, perfectly balanced with a desi twist.
Appetizers:
• Mutton Ghee Roast – tender, spicy, and bursting with flavor.
• Corn Masala Fry – crispy and seasoned just right.
• Paneer Majestic & Mushroom Majestic – creamy, flavorful, and addictively good!
Main Course:
• DD Special Nalli Ghost Biryani – rich, aromatic, and layered with flavor.
• DD Special Mandi (Veg & Non-Veg) – a must-try for biryani lovers looking for something new.
• DD Special Potlum Biryani – slow-cooked perfection served in traditional style.
Desserts:
• Double ka Meetha – warm, sweet, and nostalgic.
• ❤️ Beetroot Halwa – unique, vibrant, and perfectly balanced in sweetness.

Everything on the menu hits the mark — from presentation to flavor. Whether you’re from South India or just love exploring regional cuisines, this place deserves a spot on your must-try list!

The food was decent and the service was good. The staff were polite, welcoming, and responsive throughout our visit. However, the prices felt a little high, and for that price point, the taste did not fully meet our expectations.

We were initially given plates that were not properly cleaned and still had food stains on them. When we requested a change, the staff took them back, cleaned them, and returned them, which we appreciated.

We ordered only two mandis and one starter, and we were a small group. We had planned to leave a reasonable tip, but an automatic gratuity of $30 was added to our bill. We were also informed that there would be a 7–8% discount for paying in cash, but even though we paid in cash, the discount was not applied. Instead, the bill still included a card processing fee of $10. We noticed this only after leaving the restaurant.

Could you please clarify the gratuity policy for small groups and how cash discounts are applied? Clear billing would make the overall experience much better.

I visited the restaurant with my office colleagues. They have wide range of vegetarian and non vegetarian dishes. The food was delicious with authentic taste. They allow byob too. The prices are little on higher side though.

Their biriyani is one of my favorites. Also Their paneer Tikka slizzer is very good. But we always stay for the Irani chai!

I recently ordered the Chicken 65 dry for takeout from [Restaurant Name], and honestly, I was left feeling ripped off. For $20, this is what you get—a pathetically small portion that barely fills half a to-go container. Don’t get me wrong, the taste is actually good: crispy, spicy, and well-seasoned with that classic South Indian flair of curry leaves, garlic, and chili. But the quantity is an absolute joke for the price; it’s like they’re skimping on ingredients while charging premium rates.

It feels like they’re misusing the good reputation they’ve built over the years, relying on name recognition to justify overpricing subpar portions. This is not the first time, If you’re thinking about placing a takeout order, watch out—double-check the menu descriptions or maybe dine in to see the serving size firsthand.

This was my second time visiting the place and trying the goat Mandi. I found it more flavorful on my first visit compared to this time. That said, it was still good—just not as great as before. We also tried the boati fry, which was excellent and very clean. Boati often has a strong smell if not prepared properly, but here it was perfect. My only suggestion would be to serve a slightly larger portion. Other than that, everything was good. Overall, it was a pleasant experience.

I ordered the Chicken Mandi (mild), but it was extremely spicy and not mild at all. Also, this dish was not mandi. It felt more like chicken tikka masala served with rice and a lot of elaichi (cardamom).

Mandi is a traditional Middle Eastern/Arab dish, and this did not match its taste or preparation at all. I was very disappointed. Please understand what mandi actually is, or kindly remove the name “mandi” from the menu if it’s not authentic. My money and time both waisted.

We had a dinner night on Friday and ordered a half chicken mandi. Unfortunately, the server was in a rush and mistakenly brought us a single. and they sent us another dish, but this time it was a mutton mandi was extremely oily, making it nearly impossible to enjoy. We couldn’t handle the excess oil. The chicken mandi we eventually received also hadsimilar issue, though we managed to eat. Overall I was disappointed.

Amazing experience! The food was absolutely delicious. I tried the chicken biryani, chicken fried rice, chicken tikka masala, and chilly chicken — every dish was packed with flavor and perfectly cooked. The taste was outstanding, and the quality really stood out. One of the best meals I’ve had. Highly recommended for anyone who loves great food!
