Enjoyed a meal of butter chicken and garlic naan were AMAZING, our third dish was dal tadka which tasted off to us almost like cilantro so we didn’t eat it. Likely, I misunderstood what I was ordering. I should have ordered the dal makhani instead.. The staff was pleasant, and the restaurant was clean. Cool grocery attached.

We’ve had food from Desi Bites a couple of years ago. Was pretty decent. First time visiting their new location.
We ordered Vada Pav, Egg Kati Roll and Ragda Patties. After a wait of 20–25 minutes, we got the Vada Pav – was pretty decent. After waiting 15 more minutes, we went to check on Egg Kati Roll. Turns out there was a mistake in the order – was wrong taken as egg curry (which was surprising because we didn’t really see it on the menu)
After more wait, we got the egg Kati roll which was tiny and had one layer of omelette like egg, cabbage, green chutney and mayo for the most part.
Ragda patties was really really disappointing. It was basically the patty, a LOT of green chutney, onion, tomato and some vatana sprinkled on. Basically no “Ragda” (photo attached)
Was truly disappointed.

Folks , don’t go there just by name of Desi Bites it’s not at all same, tandoori roti of Desi bites was crisp as Papad but this new location it was 99.99% frozen and chicken Biryani looked coming from poor country Kangladesh- such a low quantity- had dinner moments ago, regretting now that I should have thrown the food in front of them but Indian mindset of not insulting anyone and highlight of my dinner Punjabi Malai Kofta (lady taking order was humble n speaking in Punjabi) but malai kofta was no where near to Punjabi taste – I can try to make it better by watching YouTube tutorials… I was earlier opting only for Desi bites and ACB in Portland bt now it’s only apna chat bhawan

Lively atmosphere and great food. We had Makki di roti, saag, chaat, butter Chicken and mango lassi everything was good. Naan was soft and jalebi was delicious. Authentic Indian food. Harpreet helps everyone quickly and has great customer service. Highly recommended.

I tried the biryani at Desi Bites last weekend, and it was delicious. The flavors were rich, the rice was perfectly cooked, the spices were balanced without being overwhelming, and the portion size was generous. The flavors tasted fresh and authentic. I’ll definitely be going back highly recommend their biryani to anyone who loves good, flavorful food.

The owners of Desi Bites went above and beyond to help me cater a surprise birthday party for a neighbor. They also contributed some appetizers and masala tea as a gesture of their goodwill for the event I planned. That was unexpected and truly touching. The food was a big hit at my party. I also bought some sweets for my mother who has significant dementia, but a bite of the khoye ki barfi made her smile and she said it reminded her of her hometown of Lucknow. Harprit, the owner, has a refreshing take on running her business; she is putting her heart and passion into making this restaurant more than a business transaction but a relationship with those who walk in through her doors. I will definitely go back for the food, and to support someone who believes in kindness. Highly recommend!

Great Indian food, good portion sizes for the price. Vegetarian food is amazing here.
Samosa Chaat felt like a flat without much depth of flavor, but it was the first time I’ve had it, and was more than acceptable for the price.
