I ate here one time years ago and decided it was time for a revisit. I stopped in for lunch and ended up having the Combo Appetizer. It was very good but one of the potatoe skins was a bit too well done.
The dessert was great and the Toasted Bliss was a bliss.
There is a private room you can reserve ahead. Older style decor but newer TVs added so looks like a great place to go and watch sports. The service was great and food came out quickly.

First time I went to deShas I fell in love with their hot brown. I went back and had one a few months later. That was around ten years ago. Today I finally got back there. And the hot brown was as delicious as I remembered! Service was wonderful and everything was perfect.

I’m not one to ever complain, since l’ve always loved Deshas. I live in ND now and we’re home for a couple weeks and decided to take my MIL to Deshas. We sit down and fifteen minutes go by and no one has even greeted us. Finally, someone does. We order everything since we were already ready. We get our drinks and appetizer, and my MIL got her salad. She’s eating it and notices a piece of literal mulch in it. We pick it out and examine it because we weren’t even sure that’s what it was at first. We get our waitress, who gets the
“manager”, who comes out and is extremely rude and basically accuses us of putting the piece of mulch in the salad ourselves. We were basically in shock and told them we didn’t really want to eat there anymore and asked if we could just pay for the appetizer and drinks and go. They continue to be rude and say we’re going to pay for everything except the salad, and they’ll finish making the food and we can take it to go. After we asked them why they were being so rude, they claimed they weren’t and gave us 50% off the food to go. We ended up just taking the L and paying for the food and leaving. It’s actually sad though how down hill this place has went. And how rude the staff was and the manager.
(After we walked out we looked at the mulch outside just to make sure, and that’s definitely what was in our food smh). Just warning y’all cause this place is supposed to be a “nice” restaurant lol.

Fabulous local tradition! Great menu, along with some long time favorites! The fried catfish is delicious , homemade corn pudding, homemade french onion soup, kentucky hot brown… You just can’t go wrong! Friendly attentive staff! You definitely must step in if you haven’t!
Update: i went back to try the crab stuffed mushrooms. I must say…ohhhh my gosh! I actually thought red lobster had the best. But i’ve changed my mind! DeSha’s is the place to be for crab stuffed mushrooms! They even reheated well at home! What are you waiting for go try them!!
They recently had a fried bluegill special, it was delicious along with the walleye! So glad this local restaurant offers a great variety of specials! The current navy bean and ham soup is amazing! This place is a must visit!!

I don’t typically write many Google reviews and some may say I’m biased towards deSha’s. That’s okay. I do frequent the restaurant for many reasons. Quality, hospitality, presentation, cleanliness, etc. I’ve been coming here since I was a child. Once I moved back to Maysville from being away for years, this restaurant has only gotten better. Management, staff, delicious food and beverage options at a fair price are among the changes I find to be most notable. After scouring reviews from the past year, I find the negative ones are just typical banter that comes with any business regardless of industry. Some people you just can’t please. The people you please are lifelong customers such as myself. deSha’s is a staple of this community that will continue to create memorable moments and dishes for everyone. While I won’t specify favorites regarding any position, I will say the managers, waiters/waitresses, hostesses, cooks, bakers, bartenders, and dishwashers collectively make the establishment a well oiled machine. Keep up the great work.

I was recommended deSha’s by a coworker and it did not disappoint! French onion soup hit the spot and the smoked Gouda mac and cheese was smooth and creamy. Prices are very reasonable and there’s something for everyone. While the food was awesome, I have to highlight the service. Andrew took wonderful care of me and made sure I had a great experience! He knew the menu and specials very well and even offered me wine suggestions based on my preferences! Will absolutely come back when I’m in Maysville again! Thank you Andrew!!

Stopped in late after meeting my grandaughter. The white chicken chili was the best I have ever had. Temperature was just right to eat. Very flavorful and delicious beans, chicken and thick soup.

This was a wonderful experience from start to finish. The wait for a table was very minimal for starters, which was great. The seating was well done, very comfortable and not cramped like many places seem to be now days. The staff were very pleasant and friendly, more so after we revealed that we were first timers here. They were very helpful in suggestions menu wise and really knew their food, which was very helpful. The menu was very nicely diverse in selection. Appetizers were brought out first – we had the French onion soup and stuffed banana peppers, which were very tasty. Lisa had salad, which was very good, as most of the salads she orders are. To be quite honest, I had never had them before, and the taste, as served here, were very much beyond expectations. It was also large enough (five)We were given ample time to get through the appetizers and then on to the main courses….. Salmon for me and fish and chips (small portion) for Lisa. Believe it or not, the fish portion was enough for two – generous and filling. My salmon was equally generous and done just right with a mild smoked flavour, capturing the salmon but not overly so. As a side note, I also ordered cornbread……. This square of cornbread was fantastic both on its own and with butter. By far one of the better cornbreads I’ve had eating out. As always, we took a sample of each other’s fish and were very pleased indeed. Dessert was offered, but we were so full from the dinner that we just couldn’t…. This trip ! The price was very reasonable as well and very friendly. So, to sum it up, great atmosphere, friendly staff, fantastic food, and won’t break the bank. We were passing through and decided to try this place and are very glad that we did. We shall definitely stop in again and would recommend this place to everyone, locals and travelers alike (although by the crowd, I already know it’s a hit locally). Definitely a place to enjoy the best of food done right. And don’t forget the cornbread

10 Stars!! Great place to spend evening with grandsons. Fantastic service, food, and atmosphere. Meals were fabulous, Coconut breaded chicken tenders with cornbread, BBQ and Bacon burger with fries, and Chopped Steak covered in onions and mushrooms with sweet potatoes and stir fry vegetables. We also brought home a slice of their triple layer Carrot Cake to enjoy later. Making Memories!!
