I use to love coming here. Came in today got a BIC with cheese grits the cheese grits was that instant cheese grits added to some regular cooked grits HORRIBLE.
I also ordered a BAC Pita with Mayo and tomatoes. Bread was hard kinda stale even though it was toasted. Eggs were overcooked. No tomatoes were added.
The cookies still is a winner.
Cashier super sweet.

Nice old school eatery. Simple menu, simple food with nice people.
When I worked downtown I used to come in every morning for their “breakfast in a cup” this was many years ago and I was reminded of that by the several dollar price hike for that same cup. Dont get me wrong, I understand everything has gone up everywhere im just simply stating my observation. That cup by the way tasted even better than I remembered (2015-2017)

Ordered the deluxe salad and it didn’t have any tomatoes. I work right across the street – I ran right back over at 1:25 pm and the door was locked (before closing time). They saw me at the door and wouldn’t come talk to me. They had to have recognized me – I was just there two minutes before. I’ve probably spent over $500 at this place over the years. They lost a customer today.

Ordered the Desert Rider and Chicken Salad sandwich lunch specials. The combo includes the sandwiches, pickles, drinks and potato salads. The potato salad was really really tasty and flavorful! Price was reasonable for the food portion. Staff members were very friendly. Great downtown Jacksonville location near the skyway station. Definitely would recommend for a quick lunch options (both dine in or to go).

Plus they gave us free cookies for our first visit. The homemade chocolate chip & oatmeal raisin cookies — AMAZING!

I found this place by mistake and i can’t believe I’ve never been here before!! I had she breakfast in a cup..OMG..the best grits outside of my mothers grits. They were the perfect consistency. There was enough meat through out the entire bowl and not just the top like some other breakfast spots. Then i ordered the deluxe salad!!! OMGGG meat..meat and more meat. You can tell the ladies here love what they do..even in a crowded place they love with such ease and class, i can’t wait to come back.
