Highly recommended. The food is delicious, the portions are generous, the wait staff is very personable, and the price is affordable. My son and I found the restaurant when we went to O’Hare, since it is near by. I had to go back with my wife it was so good the first time. We will be back.

Ate here for breakfast since it was near our hotel. First off they have a menu that rivals cheesecake factory. Pages of items. World famous crepes, but i opted for pancakes and bacon. Pancakes were good and fluffy. Soaked in syrup of course. The bacon was good. They also have shakes for breakfast. Old school diner feel and not very packed, so it was agood place for a relaxing breakfast. Never seen butt steak on a menu, but it was on there. Sausage patties seem to have been hand made also. Give them a try, i geuss if you like crepes they have the world famous ones.

A smaller spot with great food, friendly and fast service and cozy atmosphere. Instead of the corned beef hash (from a can), I recommend the Irish skillet since with shredded hash browns. It makes more of a homemade style corned beef hash (You’re welcome). The pancakes are *excellent*, so they’re a safe bet over toast.

I’m in a wheelchair and these people were so amazingly friendly and helpful and made sure I had a convenient table for me to go and enjoy my breakfast with my friend. The service was phenomenal. The food was off the charts. I personally do not like pancakes and that’s just me, but I don’t know what it is about their pancakes, but we ordered them as part of our breakfast and they were so good. I had a ham omelette because I’ve always loved ham off the bone and I had the best hashbrowns and they always ask you whether or not you want them crispy, which is great because that’s the way I like them and both waitresses who have been there for years. I’ve been absolutely fantastic. Wonderful people great food. I’m so glad I don’t live far away because I’m going to regularly come here. My friend ordered the skirt steak, which was so tasty and her scrambled eggs were delicious everything the entire meal was so good. We spent so much time looking at the menu because you have so many choices for breakfast. It’s really difficult to pick which one they have so many delicious choices that’s why I’m going to have to go back and try each one that I had seen that I didn’t choose This particular visit. I really recommend it very much. It’s a great place and wonderful people and great food.

Another fine breakfast at the best breakfast place in Des Plaines.

Great place and staff were all amazingly nice. Food was very good, one star less because my rice and beans were a bit cold, but it all tasted delicious. About $25 a head but Portions are a decent size. Would definitely recommend, mainly if your headed to and from O’Hare. Less then 10 minutes away

Took a little detour off of the Tri-State to have some brunch here this past October on our way to a farmers’ market in South Barrington.

Just like quite a few brunch restaurants I’ve been to out in the ‘burbs, just good ol’ home cooking at reasonable prices in a cozy space with friendly service.

Good all-around American-Mexican eats that I would definitely stop back in for if ever in the area again, we live up in Beach Park. Wish for continued boomin’ business for the owner(s).

Tiny, crowded, old school diner. I almost had to turn sideways to walk through the room. They have Cholula on each table, that’s a good sign. They have a friendly hustling staff, and there are plenty of menu choices with decent prices. The skillets on the other tables looked really good.

It was the Down Home for me (biscuits and gravy with eggs). Good country gravy and plenty of it, with perfectly baked biscuits. Thumbs up. She enjoyed her corned beef hash skillet. We both agreed that they have good solid food.

I’d probably give them five stars if I didn’t feel so claustrophobic. Make it four and half stars.

This is a cozy place, where the food and the service is the most important thing for the people who work there, been there before and came back with my wife, and definitely will come back many times more, highly recommended

Nice but a little on the smaller side restaurant
Not a lot of staff, but the server did a good job managing the tables, tight space where I had to keep scooting my chair to let people get through.
Lots of menu options, food was pretty good. Good place to visit if you are in the area

Very standard american diner experience with small, family business vibes. Good is usually on par with what’s expected, can be better on some days. I usually get the biscuits and gravy.

Service is great, staff are respectful and communicate well. Inside is always clean, comfortable, and homey.
