I thought no meat is boring but there is so much flavor in the vegetarian dishes.

Had a wonderful experience here today. We tried the samosa chaat and dahi bhalla, and both were excellent. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared with a great balance of spices and chutneys. The portions were generous and satisfying. The staff was polite and welcoming, and the service was smooth and quick. Overall, a great place for quality food and a pleasant dining experience. Highly recommended and will definitely return.

I have a new favourite dish, malaayi kofta. The medium spice is flavourful without being too spicy. The cashew tomato heavy is delicious. The service was gentle and welcoming even though they were preparing for a private party. Please give them a try.

I had a great experience at Des Punjab in Victoria. They serve the best chole bhature! The spice level was just right, and the bhature were fluffy and soft. It came with chole, yogurt, pickles, and onions. The girl at the front was really nice too. Overall, it was an excellent experience!

Just had the most incredible meal at Spice Merchant in Victoria! We arrived on the first ferry from Vancouver and it was amazing to find them open at 11am when nothing else was. Seriously, the veggie pakoras and fried momos were unbelievable – everyone raved about them. Portions were huge, we were all stuffed, and even took half home. It was a little quiet though, hoping it picks up more. Maybe a few more dessert options would be great!

My husband and I love coming here for date night! The servings are huge and the flavors are incredible! Our favorite was the vegetarian chicken tikka masala poutine, but everything we’ve had has been so good. Definitely recommend giving this a try!

Popped into Des Panjaab today for lunch and… wow.
Ordered vegetable samosas, garlic naan, the stuffed naan (yes, the one with the surprise happiness inside), and plain yogurt. Medium spice level because I like excitement but also enjoy breathing.
Everything was ridiculously good. The samosas were a touch salty, but still so tasty I didn’t stop eating long enough to judge myself.
The naan? Perfection. Soft, warm, loaded with flavour — basically the kind of naan that makes you question your relationship with every other carb you’ve ever met.
Medium spice came through like a respectful heat that is enough to remind you you’re alive, not enough to send you to another dimension.
Overall: incredible lunch, great food, and I’m already thinking about when I can go back.
Highly recommend.
