Best omelet I’ve ever had in my life! No exaggeration. It was hot & flavored perfectly. I had all vegetables plus bacon. Cheese throughout, every bite was consistent & it was massive. Potatoes were crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. Pancakes were also delicious and fluffy, melt in your mouth. I also had the snapper. Super crunchy on the outside & packed with flavor. Also had the tea. Sweet & delicious! My only disappointment is they did not have some items on the lunch menu. (I wanted to try the greens and Mac & cheese) If you’re looking for bougie or perfect atmosphere, this is not your place or esthetic. This is a mom & pop home cooked, made with love place. 10/10

Servers were beautiful but service was terrible. Tables were dirty when we were sat. Server never returned after taking our order. Order took almost 80 minutes to come out, and came out 1 plate every 10 minutes. Pancakes tasted like it was cooked on the grill with some kind of meat. I never got my bacon but was charged for it. Then argued down when I pointed that fact out. I will never return. The place had a lot of customers. There must not be any competition in the neighborhood.

We’re were in town for the Miami Hurricanes football game and wanted some down home diner style food, making sure to support a black owned business. Food was just ok but service was pretty good. Coffee was weak, parking isn’t the best, the decor is typical for a restaurant but some much needed upkeep is in order. Our table was wobbly so we placed paper towel underneath it to prevent that. Wait of about 20 mins was expected so we didn’t have any issues there but others might…. Tread carefully with the pancakes as they taste very different from other pancakes we have ever tried. Overall a 3 star rating. We would consider coming back to give this place another shot as it wasn’t a bad experience but they definitely can use info like this to improve.

Never coming back here again. I ordered link sausage, grits and toast. It was horrible grits watery & salty. The sausage look like regular Jimmy Dean sausage and look like it was warmed up in the microwave. Not actual pork sausage links. I’ve been here plenty of times before & it never tasted like this. Plus this was $12 w/o eggs. Wow! NEVERRR AGAIN!

This family-owned restaurant has a warm, at-home feel, especially on Sunday mornings with the Christian music playing softly in the background. The wait was a bit longer than expected, but the food was worth it — fresh and flavorful. The only downside was that our waitress was not too friendly, which took away a little from the experience. Still, the overall atmosphere and food make this a place worth visiting.”

I’ll say that this establishment has been in operation since 1987 which says a lot, the service was on point, but what failed me was the pancake’s came out the first time with powdered sugar, however they did try to satisfy my request in serving me some pancakes w/o the sugar, but the second set were dry, my eggs weren’t cooked over well as requested and the grits were on the salty side….

The decor could use a facelift and the tables would certainly work if they were leveled.

I’ll end my review by saying I may try patronizing again based on supporting a black establishment.

Mom and pop restaurant small and homey. I was serviced timely and fast. The food is fire I always order from them the only critique I have is the potatoes not being crunchy but it overall gives soul food made by black people. I had tilapia cheesy grits eggs sausage potatoes and sliced bread

Once we were out of the car, you can smell the food. Great place to get down!!! The food was amazing and delicious. The atmosphere was great. Customer service was awesome!!! Our waitress remembered our order without entering it on the iPad nor writing it down. Hands down we loved it so much we got food to go.

I was visiting Florida and happened to spot this place and they did not disappoint.

When we arrived in the morning, we thought this was a no-go but once we walked in we immediately knew this was a hidden gem , and so will you.

We dined in, the place was a little run down. But it shows they care about the community they are feeding and supporting. They played some gospel hits to start our morning. If it bothers you, then this is not the place. To me, it’s perfectly fine. It’s rare from where I come from to find a place that plays gospel music.

I got the Shrimp & Grits to fill the soul and my partner got some regular Pancakes, eggs, and bacon. BIG, Fluffy Pancakes. Both were on point for a good price.
