Very classy place. Food and service were on point. Hands down the cleanest place to eat in Douglas. Hard to find at night with no lights on the sign though. I had the Bookmakers Mac which was delicious. The chicken was cooked perfectly and reminded me of Hooters Buffalo hot wings sauce. Definitely a great choice. They have a pretty good selection of Bourbon and other drinks as well at the Bar. I had a nice Old Fashioned made from Larceny which was tasted great as well. All the staff seamed nice and friendly too. Very glad we stopped in. Hopefully we’ll be back again soon.
Another enjoyable time with amazing service from Kaytlin @ the bar tonight. Hope I spelled it correctly. She was on top of everything. Not to mention working hard with an infectious smile. The food was amazing as always but Kaytlin definitely makes us want to return. In reference a previous night was a 180. Server complained while making drinks an no smile. Made it awkward but we enjoyed the food anyways. You’ll notice who is happy to serve you and those that are not.
I highly highly recommend the Peppered Ribeye or the Herb Roasted Chicken & Broccoli Alfredo. My new favorite. BookMaker Mac takes 3rd place and still a great dish.

My family and I had a terrible experience at this restaurant. First complaint, the food was over priced and tasteless. The service was less than desirable, the waiter would completely ignore our table. We didn’t any refills and it felt like we were being judged. The environment was fine but the service and food were absolutely terrible. We were traveling through and will not be coming back to this establishment. If I could give zero stars I would, hope the restaurant reads these reviews and improves on their employees and cooks.

My family and I had an AWFUL experience at this establishment. First it started with the hostess. When asking how long the wait for a table would be she replied with “i can’t tell you, that’s up to the people eating.” Never have I been to a sit down restaurant that can’t tell you a wait time. So, she offers to have us sit at the bar. As we sit there, the bar tender doesn’t approach us for a few minutes. Then first thing she asks for is our IDs, and then completely walks away for another few minutes. I completely understand this since you have to be 21 and over to sit at the bar; however, it didn’t seem that she asked anyone else for theirs. After this she just continues to be short and rude with us while being pleasant and cordial with other customers. A table opens up and the hostess tells us we can sit there! When
we move our waiter comes over and takes our order after a few condescending and subtly rude remarks. We order and when the food is brought to us by a good runner, the last thing she has is a “French dip” which no one in my party had ordered. So we say it should be a Philly cheese steak. She then replies with “same thing whatever.” I will say on the menu they are very similar. However, I find it weird that the “Philly cheese steak” was served with Au jus when on the menu it doesn’t say that. Everyone from top to bottom was rude. The management and employees should be ashamed. Would not recommend.

Being a truck driver, I always appreciate a hot meal. So when I stopped across the street from this particular establishment, I was over joyed. Now I’ve read some of the previous reviews, let’s just say all of the one star reviews are completely wrong! I received nothing but polite people,a great steak, good beer. And at least 2 ply toilet paper. So in conclusion it a decent little neighborhood joint

Prime rib had no taste, had an end cut, good thing had a salt and pepper shaker, which I had to ask for, the meat had no taste, waitress didn’t give a damn, charged full bore and walked away, guess I won’t be back! Doesn’t any body care any more? $60.00 for a crappy meal, you have a beautiful setting just need someone to act like they care, no manager there to even visit about the service, this place used to be good, what happened???

After remembering our delicious dinner last year while attending our grandsons wrestling tournament, the Bearcat Brawl, we returned tonight and absolutely enjoyed our drinks, service, and dinner! Unfortunately, I can’t give any sort of rating, as our interaction with the wait staff here lasted about 30 seconds. The dining room was listed as open until 11, and as it was 930, we decided to stop in. We got to the hostess stand where a lady from the end of the bar yelled at us that the restaurant was closed. We responded that the door said they closed at eleven, and the waitress decided that the best course of action was to tell us that it didnt make sense to stay open for one customer. I understand what she was saying, but yelling it from across the restaurant at us did not make a return customer. If you’re going to close early, put a sign on the door or something. Professionalism is a choice.

The food is very good here. I’ve enjoyed it every time. But I wish I could give negative stars to the service. I arrived at 8:15pm, way before closing time and people were still eating. The waitress just stared at me from their station before slamming her drink down to walk over and seat me. With eyes rolling and huffing while asking where I wanted to sit. All she wanted to do was leave, I asked to set at the bar top and bartender had the same attitude of being upset and bothered that someone had the nerve to prolong her stay at her job. There was no hiding the contempt and frustration these servers showed so I left. Wish the service was better. Horrible people.
