I wanted to like Derby City Pizza, but the experience was disappointing. There was a strange odor when we first walked in, and at one point it smelled like cigarettes. The restaurant felt cluttered and not very clean, with greasy walls that stood out. Competing music made the space feel chaotic rather than inviting. The pizza appeared to use a premade crust, which was underwhelming. The staff was friendly but not very attentive, and when we mentioned how cold it was inside during the winter, we were told the kitchen gets hot rather than being offered an adjustment to the heat. Overall, the atmosphere and quality made it hard to enjoy the meal.

This was my first time trying Derby City Pizza and I will not be back to this location. Our waitress was very rude the whole time. We waited 25-30ish minutes for our food and the pizza was somewhat warm, not hot. Also, she never came back to check on us once she took our order.

Tried Derby City Pizza for lunch and I’m surprised more people don’t talk about the $8.49 lunch deal. You get a drink + pizza + a side, an absolutely incredible deal… even Mcdonalds is more expensive nowadays! Not only are you getting delicious food for such a low price, but you’re also getting a nice sit down experience. Will definitely be back with my family!

Pizza was ready on time, staff was very friendly. I have had very positive experiences both dine in and take out here. The staff has always been friendly and welcoming. The pizza has always been delicious. I only wish it was closer to where we lived.

Great good and Derby City offers Gluten-free options. My wife loved the pizza. This location is down the street from my son’s place and he had no idea it was there. He loved the buffalo chicken pizza. Told.me he was going back to order a large for the weekend.

Ordered $100 worth of pizza at 5:12pm with expected delivery at 6:26pm. We didn’t receive our pizza until 7:28pm and it was barely warm. Totally unacceptable. Just lost our future business and will not recommend.

I was in town for a conference and this was lunch on the last day. If I would have known how good it was, this would have been stop #1. Friendly staff, great portion sizes (the lunch spaghetti and MEATBALL were wild!), and relaxed atmosphere. We started on the patio but threats of rain sent us inside and our server didn’t miss a beat. You won’t be disappointed!

Not a good atmosphere, it felt very erie, no one was smiling, or greeted us with a smile, we were the only customers there they looked tired angry and ready to go home,one of the guys kept staring at me and whispering to another coworker, he came from behind the counter staring at me and my family walked back and whispered to each other again. I feel like they tampered with my food tasted like it was made with hate. Never will come back.

We was looking for a pizza place as we was passing through the area and found Derby City. We paid the upcharge for thick crust, which was delicious! It was by far one of the best pizzas we have had in a while. I would definitely order again if we are in the area.
