Cool place. Food was pretty average…nothing spectacular. Ordered the Hot Beef Sundae, Tenderloin which was the and kids meals. The sweet potato fries were good! Ordered pie and root beer float – which the root beer wasn’t amazing, like we wouldn’t get it again. Our server seemed very overwhelmed anytime we had an interaction with him.

The best spot in town for food. I would come here if it was anywhere near where I lived. You will not be disappointed by the selection. The broiled chicken was fantastic and the house salad dressing with a hint of horseradish is unique and very tasty. They also make their own beers and cream soda. The pies were also delish. Definitely check this place out if you are in the area.

Interesting place! Family owned, they have a buffet option which most of our table did. I got the chicken bacon ranch sandwich with sweet potato fries -excellent fries!
The oreo pudding and fried chicken from the buffet were huge hits too. Good salad (lots of topping options) and friendly service.

Ordered wings extra crispy as an app and they cane out great. I had ordered creole flavor but they were out so I got the Greco flavor and it was really good. The pork tenderloin sandwich was huge and the breading was pretty good also. The chicken fries steak had the same breeding and wasn’t bad either. Now the atmosphere here was amazing, the walls were covered from top to bottom with some really cool stuff and old at that.

I go 40 miles out of my way whenever I’m in the area. I love the hot beef sandwich. Just like my Iowa grandma used to make. You can’t beat the historical building and atmosphere filled with hundreds of local history items. I usually add a slice of pie for the perfect comfort food meal. They regularly have live music in the summer months. Be sure to check the schedule.

On vacation from Wisconsin and the husband wanted to check out this town. Cute little restaurant. Found out it was an actual train depot from back in the day. Pretty cool. And they brew some of their own beer. Unfortunately you can’t take any home. That would be cool. A lot of pictures hanging. Plenty to look at. Would have loved to sit outside, but they weren’t staffed enough. Bummer. Not the end of the world. Glad we stopped. Would definitely go again. Looks like the place where all the locals go . Very inviting.
