Depot on Magnolia is a great neighborhood American restaurant with a relaxed, welcoming vibe. The food felt fresh and well-prepared, and the menu has a nice mix of comfort classics and lighter options. My meal came out hot, flavorful, and nicely portioned for the price. Service was friendly and attentive without being pushy, and the atmosphere made it easy to enjoy a casual lunch or dinner. Overall, a solid spot that feels consistently good and worth coming back to.

All in all this was a super dining experience! Cool decor, very eclectic and fun. The food was ample and delicious. I had the fish and chips it was flavorful, hot and crispy. One draw back was the fries were just ok, maybe slightly over done but rhw 8verall meal was still fantastic. My wife had the soup and salad huge portions same goes for our friends who both had the pulled pork sandwich. Needless to say this is must try, you will not be disappointed!

The Depot visit for lunch as a guest was beyond what I even imagined. Not only was the decor fun to look at details, but the choo choo train was such a nice surprise.
Our food was excellent. The pulled pork sandwich was so above what I had at a well known bbq place a week ago. This sandwich was the same price and double the amount of the one before. The sauce on the sandwich at The Depot was also so much better than the other place.
We had the Chicken sandwich, the Lobster Roll, the truffle fries and found nothing that wasn’t good. The plates were garnished and pleasing to the eye, the food at the temp it should be and the side of potato salad was unexpected but so good.
Plus the real train outside on the train was unexpected and exciting.
This place is definitely on my list to visit again many times and highly recommend to all that just want a relaxing, fun, great food place.
The service was excellent and John made sure we had everything we needed.

The atmosphere was fascinating, the service was great and the food was top notch. Check out the attached photos, I think you’ll agree. The price was about average for this area. I would definitely recommend this establishment to anyone that likes a good meal with a great atmosphere.

Pros- Our Server, Mr Adam, was very impressive in his craft. His chill nature and smooth knowledge of the menu items made the experience much more pleasant and relaxing than first expected. He was also very personable and positive. The food was phenomenal, hefty portions with good pricing. I had pulled pork, wife had chicken salad with soup. The deserts are well made and delicious, also hefty portions. The bread pudding was really good! The atmosphere is great, it’s at the old train station so you’ve got a lot of great train decor here. (Your train loving relatives will love it. You know the one I’m talking about.) It’s very calm, the music is playing softly in the background and the tables and booths are far enough apart that you don’t feel too crowded. The view outside feels like you’re not in town but near a park or farm, well shaded and comfortable.

Cons – They ONLY serve lunch so don’t come expecting breakfast or dinner options.

We happened upon this spot leaving Tuscawilla park and so glad we did! I can’t believe we haven’t found this enchanting eatery before. What a fun, train-inspired restaurant to enjoy the unique ambiance. And of course a great selection of comfort food – we all enjoyed our meals. Staff was so very friendly and inviting as well. Make some time to check it out, you’ll plan to return as we are!

I wanted so badly to like this place but unfortunately, I was left disappointed.

I thought I ordered the soup and sandwich lunch special for $12.99 but when I paid for my pick-up order, the total was $21 (I did get a coke). I would have been fine to pay that price for the food if I felt like it was worth it but I didn’t feel like it was.

The macaroni salad tasted like plain noodles with celery water and a hint of mayonnaise. The Marry Me Chicken soup was okay and the chicken salad wrap was dry. I didn’t even bother to eat the watermelon.

I do believe in second chances so I may return one day and hopefully my experience will be different.

This place is a hidden gem. The food was spot on comfort cafe food. The clam chowder was incredible. And the haddock and chips was one of the best we’ve ever had. The inside is absolutely adorably eclectic. Service was spot on as well. If youre passing by – dont hesitate to stop!

I stopped by on a whim after a morning of thrifting and was immediately drawn in by the unique building — part of a historic train depot that’s full of character. Inside, the restaurant is packed with charm: railroad memorabilia on the walls, hand-painted murals, themed lighting, and even a miniature train that runs overhead while you dine. It’s whimsical in the best way.

I ordered the mushroom and Swiss burger, and honestly, I don’t think I want one from anywhere else now. It was cooked perfectly and came topped with hearty quarter-cut mushrooms — not the usual skimpy slices — and a fun little side of fresh watermelon wedges.

The food was fantastic, the atmosphere was memorable, and the staff were warm and welcoming. Depot on Magnolia is one of those places that reminds you how many cool local spots are hiding in plain sight.
